WalMart clearance

Hey everybody, In the last week or so, I've been to a few walmarts in my area (North Carolina) and wanted to give you guys a heads upon some new markdowns I've been seeing. Several themes are getting marked down including Alien Conquest(if your store still has any), Monster Fighters and some City an...

Re: How do you display your minifigs?

I've been thinking about screwing a baseplate to the wall and mounting the figures vertically instead of horizontally. I also want to see if vertical baseplates will hold my Slave-1s up for display and play around with some vertical construction ideas.

Fantasy era airship: the Sky Knight

Description & Concept: "Every few years the lands are blessed with a short winter and an early spring. This usually leads to a problem with scores more orcs and trolls coming out of the mountains and stirring up trouble for we humans and the dwarves that live under the mountains. So our wis...

Re: CC Set Review: 6066 Camouflaged Outpost

I remember losing my 12 year old mind when this came out. Had to mow quite a few yards to get the money for it, but it was (and is) totally worth it. Still one of my all time favorite sets. If I remember right, FIRST: Forestmen set, brown horse, leaf parts, and standalone Legoland castle structure. ...

Re: Mill Village Raid (Personal review)

Great set, great review. I just opened and built mine last week. I've had it for a little over a year (walmart after xmas clearance $35), waiting alongside 10193 for me to get my toy room in order to have a place to properly diplay these great sets. It's very rare for me to keep a set built; sets us...

Re: Harry Potter Durmstrang Ship 4768 - Black Falcon shield?

Are there any other examples of classic heraldry being reused in bley-era sets? Not quite the same, but the classic space logo was reuesed/modified in a Space Police set as a statue and reworked onto a jacket design torso used widely in the City Series (it even comes in classic red and I think whit...

What's your favorite non-castle torso?

There's a lot of great torsos that have been made for non castle sets that look really good in castle displays. Jedi torsos make great peasants; and the HP sets have wizards, lovely ladies, and the quidditch players are great starts for rangers or fighters. so, what's your favorite minifig torso tha...

Re: CC Set Review: 6004 Crossbow Cart

I don't really care for this set (another silly mini-siege engine), but here's what I do like: 1. Several crossbows, a quiver, and 2 shields; always a plus to get more gear than minifigs can carry. 2. The minifig itself. I would've liked to have seen that torso recolored and recycled like the other ...

Re: Weekly Set Review: [MOC] Blacksmith Shop

The thread that won't die!!! I, like everybody else, love this set. Nothing to add to all the full-throated praise heaped upon this worthy jem in the Lego Kingdom. Thanks for recalling this thread Ernst1963. I just re-built this set(maybe for the 7th time) last week, prepping myself for a marathon m...

I agree with everything Athos said; great small set with great parts and inspiring playability. It's also a great companion set for 6049 Viking Voyager.

Re: Colour of visors of set 0015

I was able to get 0015 as a child and always preferred the black visor with the blue torso and the red visor with the red arms and legs. I even display my copy of 6083 with those visor/torso combinations.
