Re: Riverside Cottage

The roof work is a really nice touch. You definitely could have gone in a different direction with that but you nailed it. I like the fireplace as well. Considering the amount of space you allotted yourself, it ends up looking very neat and tidy. The color of the door is a nice contrast to the rest ...

Re: Rock Problems

Ah, very cool mountain. As much as a lot of the LEGO community gets caught up in a near studless MOC, there really is something to be said about a MOC not totally covered in tiles. Looks awesome! I'm not that new to rock scaping but I don't have a hugely extensive collection of dark bley (my usual r...

Definitely agree! These parts will add some much needed variety in castle MOC figs.

New hair pieces are always cool. I'm the kind of person that feels like all figs need headwear. Hat, helmet or hair.

Lots of old grey!

I've got a lot of old grey and I'm not really keen on keeping it. I've pretty much converted completely to bley and I'm ready to let go of the old days. It's been with me for 20 years so it's not in perfect shape...but it's not bad considering its age. Lots of 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 ...

Re: Rock Problems

Oh, I've been pretty active on BL lately. Trying to amass a huge amount of some particular pieces to build my wall. I guess I'll have to get some more dark bley slopes and a couple of BURPs to finish the bit of rock left over.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Rock Problems

I'm working on a 96x64 moc and I've built up the foundation of the castle itself 5 bricks high. I'm now working on the rocks surrounding the castle and it's killing me! Have you guys or girls ever had an idea you just can't seem to get to work outside of your head? I see some phenomenal rock work an...

new to the community

hi there. i'm an avid lego castle fan. not the sets as much as checking out the lego community's contributions to the genre. sacrilege, i'm sure...but i'm not really into any of the recent castle lines and i'm not much of a LOTR fan (haven't read any tolkein or watched the films) so yeah. yikes, you...
