While they have already been mentioned, this is full of nice touches, in the throne, the torches, the windows... It will be neat to see how the village develops.

This is really nice. I like MOCs that make bright colors look good, and the dark red is a nice touch. The hull is shaped nicely, especially at the aft. If I were to suggest an improvement, I'd say it could use some more functional details along the sides/railings, but I do quite like the ship as it ...

Very impressive. I like seeing creatures that stick more or less to minifig scale. Nifty variety of connecting techniques.

Right era, wrong continent

Long time, no posts, so let me call up a simple MOC I'm rather fond of. This is house I built a while back in the Sudanese-style construction of Africa (see this site from Ghana for an example: http://www.larabanga.netfirms.com/ ) It's not exactly castle, but I think it's close enough people here wi...

Cool. I was also inspired by the samurai helm to play around with exactly the same thing the other day. I went with a black flight helmet with 2 black visors, but I really like the variety in your folder.

Love the old wall. The tree breaking through is fantastic. I also like the tudor house. Though I usually find tudor houses repetitive, yours has some nice details in the angled beams and use of the shack windows at the lowest leve. Somehow I don't care for the chimney, though. I think it would work ...

I know you've all been waiting for this: without further ado, my entry in the Classic-Trestle Heroes and Villains Contest, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1647608 It's kind of an odd contest, though. It doesn't seem like there'd be that many ideas. Snidely Whiplash, maybe... wait, Cl...

Thanks to the admin's for running a great contest. Looking closer at the prize winners I see many details I'd missed in earlier perusal, which I think shows how much time the admins spend going over the entries. Congrats to all the winners. Meanwhile, thanks for the compliments. Many of the entries ...

That was fantastic, and I don't even hold an especially strong preference for the classics over the new stuff. Since nobody has mentioned it, the forester spinning is unexpected, inspired, and hilarious. I look forward to your next project, if perhaps not the download time...

Cog's seem popular this year, and I really like this one. The bold colors work, and the brick built shape is well done. The front looks a little funny, but other than that, really nice. The brick built sail is also cool.

Cool, a complementary MOC. I love the nest, and the lower part of the cliff, especially the crevice. I'm not so fond of the top half - I think it needs more slopes to match the style of the bottom half. Excellent action scene. Thanks for the mention,

Since somebody asks, if I were to attribute the inspiration to sappers to someone, it would be the person who entered a fantastic tunnel scene in the contest last year (does anybody remember who that was?). The idea had occured to me before seeing that person´s work, but their work made me reevaluat...

Heh, I assure you, the hulls are all Lego, built around the hulls from the Viking boat. Way more trouble than it was worth, really. Glad you like it, and thanks for the compliments. Happy building and happy holidays!

Cool info on Turkish troops, Scnicker, thanks. I went with the black, pointed helms because I could make the troops match, and it seemed sort-of near-Eastern. It would be cool to develop a more authentic headwear.

I like the shape of this castle, and you did a great job of providing a sensible interior and access to it. I´m impressed with how you varied the exterior with essentially ¨basic¨ bricks, though there are still a few bare-ish walls. I´m not sure I like the landscaping in front, though that just be b...
