Re: Castle at Brickworld 2011

/me makes yearly cameo appearance... Hi there, as some may recall I'm one of Crazylegoman's crazy IndyLUG friends, and I will be bringing a large castle to the BW11 collaborative display. Mostly the same stuff I brought for BW09, basically this stuff... I'll also have "Crystal Castle" agai...

I can't answer that, but whomever picked my order indicated they'd have some kind of presence at Brickworld. As far as what inventory they'll have at the show, if any, I haven't a clue...

I bought equipments from Red Bean a few years back, I think it was not too long after he and Kaminoan had just started up. Excellent quality! They now have a wonderful selection of all the equipments in great colors. I just got my order in a few days ago (spent around 70 dollars). The parts are wond...

There is "cloth paper" you can buy that will go through an ink-jet printer. My mom is a quilter and she had a project that called for sewing pictures into a quilt. So we scanned the pictures and printed them on the cloth-paper. The cloth paper has a waxy backing that peels off, then you ca...

Awesome castle. Explosive detailing. It's both realistic and fanciful, and very European-looking to me. (Not that there are a lot of American castles )

Another wonderful inspiration point...

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! :D

Thanks guys... I'm a big fan of Red Bean's stuff and I was getting a little worried.

I'm in the process of re-arming all my castle figs and now I can get the parts I need!

Thanks! 8)

Possibly a dumb question...

...so if it is I won't be surprised if I get called dumb for not knowing the answer... :P :?: Has Red Bean stopped making / selling his custom weapons? I haven't been able to find any information on the MCN site about the store. Red Bean's site seems to be a placeholder for a domain reseller: http:/...

Thanks for posting this, there are a lot of great little details in this layout, which is not always true of this sort of thing. On a side note, do I detect some non-LEGO pieces in this photo? (and I'm not just talking about the LA stuff!) Yeah...the guy that built that has some MB Dragons stuff......

That castle layout turned out really well! I like all the details you guys added as usual. I'm sorry I couldn't make it out there with you guys...but now that I have my house I'll have my own Lego room now  Who built the tower gate? That's a really good use of a raised baseplate. The tall wall...

That's a rather amazing model. Not often that you see plates turned backwards like that to create detailing. It seems like a lot of those little dino teeth or whatever the part is called used as well. I like the dome...domed lego MOCs are usually always rather stunning since it defeats the regular g...

This is a wonderful castle. I love the inner details and the specific-function areas. It's really well planned. I like this a lot because that's how I envision building my next castle MOC, quite a bit larger and taller, and much more detailed. I also like the Warcraft connotation, as well as the col...

Thanks for the kind words guys... I saw a few questions... I bought nearly all the parts off of Bricklink. I simply did a peeron inventory for #375, searched Bricklink for the parts in trans clear, did a virtual build in MLCad and bought the parts. I stayed true to the instructions as best I could, ...

Heh...I guess I'm not the only one messing with variations on the #375... I like the white, much better aesthetically than the yellow IMO. When I did my transparent version I had to replace slopes for arches since, well transparent arches don't exist...even among the European Bricklinkers who seem t...

Beautiful MOC. Very nice details, I still have trouble with that  I really like the way it flows, very much like it was hewn from some natural outcrop of stone or rock...one might coin the term...Wright-ish (as in Frank Lloyd  ) The interior details are slick too. There's a guy in our LU...
