Classic Castle style town

Here is a video and some stills from my display at this year's BrickFair VA. Verily, a link.

Re: Castle at BrickFair VA 2016

Turns out the map was not settled just yet. Castle has been moved; we're a lot closer to the door and will be one of the first things they see. We'll be up against a wall, but Todd has given us a little extra room, and some back-wall tables for play, sorting, or brick-swapping. (Or fine Viking mead.)

Re: What do people think of the new BURPs?

I use whatever works. It's possible to build with BURPs; I like using vines and cliff-growing trees to fill things in. I did that on my very first public display, and got a lot of compliments for a clumsy build just because of that terrain. I'd show a picture, but I haven't figured out how to upload...

Re: Castle at BrickFair VA 2016

We're only a few weeks out, and here's information as I have it. - We're in almost exactly the same space we were in last year. However, we don't have a hideout of our own; we had it two years running, which was nice, and I'm going to miss it. We're also not all on the same island, but we've got som...

Re: Castle 2016?

Then I shall play devil's prosecutor. :woo: You haven't bought any Castle sets in a long time. Okay. Neither have I, at least off the first-rung retail shelf. (I've collected two Medieval Market Villages post-discontinuation, one of them a few months ago. And no, I don't count LotR as Castle for the...

Re: Your Favorite Castle Set Ever!

The Medieval Market Village is definitely my favorite. I've bought seven copies of it over the years as parts bags, and one is currently still in its box. Not because I want to sell it. Just because I'm saving it. At some point, I'm either going to display it as-is in a future, more roomy home, or I...

Re: Castle 2016?

 I can't say this is "worst fears realized," but it's definitely useless for me, as well as just plain boring. This looks like someone watched Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog and said "That was cool; we...

Re: Dear lego......large castles

Modular anything would be nice. They were kind of doing that with the Mirkwood Elf Army set, which you could buy multiples of and combine. More of that would be great. Heck, just use more brown in that set and switch out the elves for Forestmen and you've got something Classic Castle fans would love.

I want more medieval town and farm stuff. The Medieval Market Village was one of the best sets ever.

Buying Medieval Civilians

I'm looking for any parts that can be used to MOC me some Castle-themed civilian figures. Royals, soldiers, knights, and blacksmiths are easy to come by. I'm looking for a variety. Some of this may include things from other themes that can be repurposed (for example, the Princess Leia torso from the...

Re: BrickWarriors New Products

I just made an order from Brick Warriors (right before the restock -- dang it!), and got a couple of the brown robes to see if I could use them. I noticed that the only major issue with the SW hood is the knot on the front. I can't tell, though, if there's enough plastic on the robe to allow a simil...
