I don't remember you either, lone ranger. I was gone for over a month, I guess. Generally I try to keep a low profile here anyway, so I don't spam up the boards for those that aren't open to clone brands. With Mega Bloks gaining so much market share I feel increasingly unwelcome here. Graynar, of co...

Thanks guys! Hello Graynar, I'm pleased to meet you! By the way, I checked out your site. The models you built are really fun and in keeping with the official LEGO design styles. They remind of some of the best sets from the golden age of Castle. Great work! And I really love what you did to snaz up...

Back from a Pyrates adventure

If anybody noticed I was missing, it was due to a Pyrates binge. Mega Bloks, of course. I now own every Pyrates set available, and am in the middle of a medium-sized model of my own design. I'm ectstatic with all my new sets, asside from a few annoying draw-backs. If any of you LEGO purists are curi...

That's magnificent. You're a brick genius.

That guy with the little mustache by the umbrella in the back gives me the creeps, though.

Are you cropping out the center of an image? Yeah, especially since those were quickies I did on the spot just to post here. Like Bruce said, "If you just take a photo of your MOC on your desk with all of your stuff sitting behind it it can be distracting" so I crop. Alot! Is there an SD ...

This probably should have been posted down in publishing. You're right, definitely. I never would have noticed "publishing" is about photography if you hadn't said so. :( If you don't mind could you post an image that you think is bad and then maybe we can examine it for problems. Mind? A...

Photography Tips?

Many of you here are not only great at building excellent custom models, you also tend to take incredibly sharp, well-lit photos, often in very creative and immersive angles. My own experience in snapping photos of my LEGO creations has been a complete disappointment. My images are always way too bl...

That's great, I love seeing this kind of thing. Jack's expression is priceless, you really captured Matthew Fox's look.

But what I really want to see is finished custom figures on a tiny LEGO island with palm trees and plane wreckage. And an invisible robot monster.

Review of Vladek's Dark Fortress (KKII 8877)

This review shows off several nice features in the new castle and there are fantastic photos, as is common for Millionaire Playboy. http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/toys/legofortress.php There's a catapult again, but at least this one is powered by an elastic band, that's a nice touch. The new meta...

eNiGMa , I made the same assumption as you about what JasonSpears was trying to compare. The problem is he's comparing raw brick numbers, when I'm comparing satisfaction. That little LEGO citadel doesn't even much resemble a medieval structure, if it didn't have a name, I would think it was some ki...

Hi JasonSpears , thanks for the welcome! I don't have anything against licensing in general, I just find it depressing to see a company like LEGO "sell out" that way. During my whole childhood LEGO was always around and seemingly flourishing without having to resort to anything like that. ...

2 years later I've lost all interest them and have been trying to sell them for a long time. So much the better for me! :D As time goes on I just want more of this stuff to build with. I'm glad you have 5 War Chests indluded, as those small bases are useful for hills and such, and more is better. Y...

Unkown Knight, I've private messaged you. Thanks very much for checking with me!

Out of curiosity, how did you come to own all these sets you don't want?
