Mindstorms NXT battle bot

I'm almost entirely focused on castle building, and yet I couldn't help but be amazed at this demonstration of building and programming ability. Laser sights, independent suspension, accurate brick shooting... this is an awesome tank. I thought some of you may enjoy it also.

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 7

I think a tower I've been building fits best with the idea behind the fantasy castle category because much of the way in which the tower is constructed is based on concepts that would only be needed in a fantasy setting, and it also defies the laws of true physics. However, it was stated minimum cas...

Re: CCC VII Misc - Jester's Folly

Perfectly played out little vig. It made me smile right off the bat. Then I wondered why I was smiling when obviously the king is unhappy and the poor new jester is sad. But I think it's the way one easily identifies with the different figs that made me smile, I could relate. That and the other jest...

Re: Medieval Village - Video

It looks like a very good mix of buildings to include a in village. Some of the bright colors caught me off guard, but that's simply a preference. It did give everything a very peaceful, lively feel. It doesn't look like the folk in your village would have much need of terror and war, everything see...

Re: First vignette

Lovely idea! I've been in situations that felt like that many a time, I instantly felt for your fig. Not that I've ever had someone threaten to cut off my head, mind you. Great choice for the engineer head I thought, and his arm is posed just right for scratching his head. A nice extra touch might h...

Re: Border Outpost

Just incredible landscaping there. I love the brown edge around your lake. And I needed some tips on doing snow, you could not have posted with better timing to help me out... I'm going to borrow some of those techniques! The way your water winds through the rock is also inspiring, best one I've com...

Re: Working Tower-Mounted Balista

Very clever parts use! And kudos to you for the build, I've never been good at the mechanical stuff like that. I did a bricklink search and the only small spring part I thought was even a possibility was this one but if I remember right it was a very weak spring, so probably wouldn't give any sort o...

Re: playmobil project - sculptor's house

Very good job replicating the house. I just love how you did the roof and the dormer window. I think they look great. Great job on the unfinished sculpture as well. I admit I don't know how you'd go about it, but it would be nice if you could incorporate at least one or two diagonal lines in the sid...

Re: CCC VII Team Challenge Signup list

I'm going to have to pass because I have no idea if I'll find the time to build (well, I'm positive I'll get one MOC in, but no idea beyond that) and there's no way I'm going to let a team down. However, I had to post to let everybody doing it know I'm jealous 'cause it sounds like tons of fun! Also...

Re: Crusaders guarded church

I love the arches you built over your door and in some of the windows, very nice looking. I'm glad you remembered to give the spearmen on top of the tower extra spears. The hiding forestman was a nice touch. The playability of the whole thing is great given all the figs (different types as well) and...

Re: First MOC on CC

I love the look of this, great idea. It reminds me very closely of one I saw in real life built at a renaissance festival outside the jousting grounds. For a different railing, I can't recall whose MOC I saw it in, but I saw one I really liked once that was made of solid brown minifig 'heads' stacke...

Re: The Castle in the Canopy

You used some pieces in unique and fantastic ways in this MOC. The barrels on the towers, the hair pieces as trees, the little well is awesome. I thought the way you built the tree top overhang to cover the tops of the three branches was a great idea. The complete lack of a (visible, at least) stand...

What a great way to challenge yourself, and you even finished said challenge. Great job! I think your piece use is exceedingly clever. And I like the fields as well.

Re: Gonore Castle

Well, I'll take a stab at giving you some feedback. The large tan ground area has a few pebbles on it, but I think would truly look much better if it were all, or mostly, made of different colored round or square small bricks, giving it a larger color variation. The squared L-shaped ends of the blue...

Re: My first MOC for Classic Castle

I love the detailed and different shapes that make up the towers. I like how you built up the brick hill since you didn't have the baseplate. I like the different colored blue tiles in the water. My first thought about the skinny top stairway was that it's badly in need of a railing lest you have mi...
