Re: New Kingdoms sets at TRU!!

TRU.com now lists them as available for shipping! The site also seems to list the new mill set which I didn't see there before, although it's not in stock for shipping yet. I am stoked for that one, but wasn't expecting it so soon. I'll have to save faster now...

Thanks all for the kind words! I am please the trees have been garnering so much attention, as they were a real headache to work out. I've added a couple photos to Flickr for those who might want to see a bit more of the MOC.

WANTED: 2010 Castle Advent Calender

HoHoHo! Santa is looking for a 2010 Castle Advent Calender. It can be opened or still sealed but box in decent condition is a must! He missed his shot at getting one from S@H, and was never able to make the 5-hour long trip to the closest LEGO store. If anyone has and extra and is willing to part wi...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8

Almighty! I've cleared my LEGO table, and my head of all non-castley MOCs, have sorted and begun preparations for the great CCC! Thanks to all involved for running this year after year after year! (wow, really, 8 years...?!) It seems like just the other day the CCCIII brought me here... :twitch: The...

Re: Here I Stand! Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms

Thanks everyone! To answer the painting question; yes, I did look through all the reference materials I could. The building where this happened is no longer there, so paintings were the main sources, although no one in particular. I really like the curtains next to the chair, as well as the windows....

Re: Stretching your brick collection

I've often used any 1x2 modified brick on my walls, be it clip, technic, or bar. I make a lot of interiors, so they aren't usable there, but anywhere where they will fit and be unseen, that's a win for me. At several cents, rather than several tens of cents, that's definitely a big positive as well!

Re: War has come! --> MiniCastleContest

Great forced perspective and really nice work on the small soldiers down in front! The use of the large flame pieces works well here too, which goes against what I would have thought. Excellent entry all around!

Re: Jumping crown

I had this issue with the Rebel Helmet from the Battle for Endor set. I let Consumer Services (US) know and they sent me two new ones which work fine. I also had a similar problem with the tan 1x4x1 arches on the brown arched windows in the MMV. They just kept popping off, that is, until I got out a...

Re: Silver Lake Fortress by Brian Corredor

Very, very nice work! I enjoy the clean lines and tasteful architecture sprinkled throughout. There are plenty of nice details to keep your eyes interested, while not too busy. However, the main thing I really like about this MOC is the angle at which the entire thing is set against the 'grid' of th...
