Re: Weekly Set Review: Magic Shop

Great set for parts and I liked the compact design. It also allowed me to justify having Majisto work with the forestmen.

Re: Wolfpack

I have always used them as mercenaries, filling whichever side was light on manpower.

They were a great faction, too bad they did not do more with them.

I agree, color differentiation is worse than usual in these instructions. I do love the set though.

As for the tree, it builds into a very good looking if fragile piece.

Overall, I enjoyed putting together the set. I strongly recommend it.

LEGO et al

I will be honest, I have sunken low and purchased knock-offs; worse. I live in CT. But, I only did this after Lego decimated their stateside presence. I did not have the cash for Lego, so I made do. Calling it "sinking so low" is insulting for those that do not have the cash for the parts ...

I will weigh in on this, it may not be popular, but it is one man's opinion. I probably should be using the TLC term below, but did not, sorry. I am assuming that since we are seeing more knock-offs, a key LEGO patent expired. So, the nature of any business is to copy the industry leader. Now, conne...

I say Legos, mainly because that was all I had as a kid, so there was no differentiation needed.

I really like the look of this. Its got my creative juices going for other bazaar type scenes. Very well done. I love the contrast of the stall roof colors and the grey wall. It makes it look that much more intimidating.

Very great news overall. Good to see that they plan on the theme lasting a while. Hopefully they can get new plumes out sooner than later. I can already here the cha-ching that will occur at brick-link now that old plumes have been officially declared unworkable.

I stuck with black for a long time, but since brown has been relatively easy to get (I am near a lego store), I have changed to brown.

Grey is good too, but all that is reserved for castle building.

Wow. This set is a definite must have. Many old pieces released in new colors is very good news. I definitely have added this to my must have list.

This series sent me into my dark age. My brother liked the idea of the bat motif, we ignore anything with the witch, but the damage was done. I was scarred by the sheer awfulness of the set designs. The special set that utilized the box...this series as a whole was overpriced and very underwhelming.

I am rather negative on this set.

It has ok figure selection, very poor structure design. The

curved pieces for the well were nice.

This looks like a good set, unfortunately, The adventurers line was during my dark dark ages (no $ for new legos; not for lack of interesting ideas).

And at the time, I think was the best "castle" out there.
