Photo review of 6918 Blacksmith Attack
I've just picked up the new Kingdoms set Blacksmith Attack this morning, and thought I'd provide a little review of it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3215/5693792559_7fea03864a.jpg Flickr set. Firstly, I must say, I'm probably a bit biased. This is, in my opinion, one of the of the best Castle sets...

Re: Collectible Minifigs trading thread
I am interested in trading a complete set of Series 2 figs to get a complete set of Series 4 figs. I'd also be interested in trading specific Series 2 figs for extras of specific Series 4 figs, such as extra Musketeers, Gnomes, Hazmat guys, Mad Scientists, and Geishas. I have extras of most of the s...

I'm particularly loving...

Re: Collectible Minifig Series 3
I'll echo the comments that many of the pieces seem cheap. Oddly though, not all of them are. The Sumo Wrestler's hair, for instance, feels and looks like good old fashioned Lego to me. The same for the Fisherman's hat, fish, and fishing rod. His beard is fine, but it's intentionally the more rubber...

Oh, interesting. If I'd known, I'd have bought one of these this morning, as my TRU just got them in.

Re: Pharoah's Quest
My TRU got most of the new sets (PQ and Atlantis) in this morning. I've photographed the inventories of some of the ones I picked up. Due to my buying some other Lego that was on sale at the time, I didn't get as much of the PQ line as I'd have liked to, but I'm sure I'll get it eventually. Here's t...

Hmm, both of the pages the original post linked to have been pulled. Methinks they weren't quite ready to publicly announce this.

What if I'm an AFOL and don't have any kids though? This seems like it's designed specifically for kids, not for AFOLs.

Re: Two new Takeshi Itou MOCs
Takeshi's MOCs continue to impress me. He has a gift for layout that is virtually unrivaled! When I see his work I'm constantly amazed by the amount of detail he is able to incorporate into these small layouts without resorting to overly complex techniques. I agree. The simplicity of his moc landsc...

Re: I understand why the Skeleton Ship is soo expensive
I have the Hull, mid section and mast. I am not into ships so if you want to pay for shipping I would happily give them to you for free. That is a wonderfully generous offer. :) If Ben is not interested in taking you up on that, and you are still willing, I would happily pay for shipping to acquire...

Re: I understand why the Skeleton Ship is soo expensive
I understand your concerns with expensive secondary market Lego, but I must admit, that I do not really think it applies in this instance. I just looked at eBay, and a 100% complete 7029 Skeleton Ship just sold for $102, which is only a ~25% markup over original retail. That's not that much. Older L...

Re: Asian castle
A very good start. You've managed to get a decent-sized, cohesive-looking castle with relatively few parts. I like how you used that baseplate sideways from its normal orientation. I would like to see the interior fleshed out a bit more though; right now it's looking rather sparse.

Re: Diagon Alley (10217)
I wonder what the logic is behind releasing this set on January 1, 2011, a mere one week AFTER Christmas. But between this and the Burrow set, it is nice to see them come out with something in this series other than another Hogwarts castle, and another Hagrid's Hut. Think back...MMV, the big pirate...
