I understand the hesitation many have about LOTR LEGO. Higher prices and an end (probably) to kingdoms are both big downers :( Guess I will be stocking up on the Joust set. I would say LEGO castle is not in decline. Not even a little bit. Since kingdoms started we have seen new helms, barding, figures, animals, etc. Overall, the sets have been great. Kingdoms alone is what brought me back into the LEGO world. If the LOTR rumors are true I will be sad to see kingdoms go...

LOTR was an R film, and a fairly mature adult/graphic violence one at that. The Hobbit is a kids book, and the film makers are doing it as such. I heard it was planned as a PG or PG-13 film.
