Re: Crownies!
I don't think any explanation makes sense unless it is a marketing one. Lego never claimed that current Castle Lego was an extension of any previous castle line, therefore the grand unified theory of faction assimilation makes a great story line, but is not rooted in a TLC based concept. I think it ...

Re: 32x32 Yellow Castle
I'm liking it. Personally, I am not bothered by the idea of "yellow castle" as it adds color and isnt too far off base in some cases (I've been to several castles and early forts and most of them are not light gray). I like the look, If I was a minifigure I think I could defend it from a s...

Re: Crownies!
I there are some major issue which set the Crownies apart from any major classic faction... mainly the Crownies are the only human faction currently available, whereas all of the classic factions had to compete with other factions. Secondly, every current Castle set comes with a conflict of some sor...

Re: Drawbridge Defense
I think I'm going to have to get this set. I keep going back and forth, but now all you people have made me want it. Darn you! Josh I doubt that you will regret it. The more I interact with this set, the more I am impressed with it. I hope the next year of Castle will bring out another set of this ...

Re: What do you want Lego to do with the current Castle Line.
I put some more thought into this one and decided that I would love to see a Gothic line. It would be compatible with current castle and the older vikings (kids wouldnt know the time period difference). The Goths would provide a lot of great torsos and Gothic Cavalry would make great looking "k...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Fright Force
Well the overall line was one of the reasons I went into my dark age. I didnt buy a single set from this line, although my brother bought a few before he called it quits with these guys. I think this would be a good set for a kid to get a reasonable selection of these guys (if they were interested)....

Re: Drawbridge Defense
The back printing wasnt important to me, but my daughter loves it. I think it is funny how she chooses the newer, more detailed, figs over my classic guys everytime. Maybe Lego knows what it is doing with the whole focus group thing. Personally, although fig detail isnt a make or break for me, it is...

Drawbridge Defense
I did a search and didnt see any discussions of this set which I found relevent to the comments I am about to make, so I hope I am posting this correctly. I was looking for something "new-ish" so I could save my classic sets and still have a nice set for when my daughter wants to play Lego...

Re: Weekly Set Review: [Royal Knight's Catapult]
Well, its been up for a while and no one has said anything... I guess I will get things going. This set isnt great, but it certainly isnt one of TLC's worst. You get a decent guy and a siege weapon. I prefer the older siege equipment (being a Crusader fan myself) but for its time this set would serv...

Re: LEGO Pick a Brick Feedback
Other than that, don't see Pick-a-Brick as anything more than it is: parts that are currently in production for sets, can be available in Pick-a-Brick, if they're not produced for these sets anymore, they will also disappear from Pick-a-Brick (depending on stock, in some cases, some parts have stay...

Re: What do you want Lego to do with the current Castle Line.
I'd love to see a new human faction, one with neutral heraldry. They could start out with a small $50 castle or something along those lines, or maybe just be introduced as a battlepack for now. Right now when my kid and I play Lego, one of us has to be a bad guy (I dont like to play with my childhoo...

Re: Castle 2009 Inventories on BrickLink
Is it possible to have only 3 ordinary (not including the 10193) castle sets in one year? I was wondering the same thing. I suppose that this could be a light year... those even existed back in Classic Castle times, I was hoping for a set smaller than the chariot. I can wait to see what comes out n...

Re: Weekly Set Review: King's Archer
Got it when it was new. Still have it... The little target and guy look good mixed in with my collection and I seem to recall getting a lot of play out of it when I was a child, it was my only target piece so all of my archers wanted to use it. The whole pack had a lot going for it and would have pr...
