Re: Top 10 best sold LEGO sets of 2010

Forgive my ignorance, but could you explain what is meant by the phrase 'generated turnover per set'? Presumably it means "how fast shelves had to be restocked for each of these sets". In other words, faster turnover means that LEGO had to ship out new batches of a particular set more fre...

Re: Discovered Old Lego Set, What should I do?

What you should do depends on what you would like more. Would you prefer to have $62 or would you prefer to have an old boxed set to display? If you do want to sell it, would you like to sell the set now or hold onto it in the hopes that it will appreciate in value? Only you can really answer those ...

Re: Mixing factions

It all depends on what you want to do. There is no right or wrong when it comes to how you choose to use your Lego.

Re: New Shield Mold

Hi ppl ... and last but not least the cartaginians are decendents from greek, so it would be easy to make them. With apologies, but the Carthaginians were Phoenician, not Greek. :) The other suggestions you made, especially the one that the new mould be used for Celtic shields, sound really good fo...

Re: Forestmen Hideout

I really like this, first posted MOC or not. The scene is full of details like one associates with the best of MOCs, but at the same time there's an 'airiness' that one usually finds in official sets. I think the airiness feeling comes from the empty archway in the middle. It's clear that you're not...

Re: First Public MOC - Fort

Welcome to Classic-Castle, and I hope you'll enjoy your time here. I quite like the wall you've created; it's a very solid first MOC. The small door gives it a real sense of size, and it gives off an impression of solidity. I'd say it's ready to turn aside waves of invaders. The single window on the...

Re: New York Toy Fair 2011

Welcome Svede. Yes that is a new slope (65 degree 2x1x2) in dark brown. However, I think the mill is a better place to get that piece. It has atleast 16 included in it. Thanks Dale. I guess the screenshot was focused on the slope but I was actually referring to the tall tree branch/arch piece. I al...

Re: LDD Prices

TLG = The Lego Group (pretty self explanatory)
PAB = Pick a Brick (both refers to the bins of individual elements in a Lego store and the electronic version on Lego's site)
LDD = Lego Digital Designer (Lego's program by which you can electronically design a set and they'll send you the custom set)

What is your source for that information? I'd really like to believe that, but I'd like to see the proof.

Re: what do you think?

I'm with Ye Olde Republic on this one. Any non-referenced material on a publicly written wiki is suspect.

Assuming the picture here is really of Cedric the Bull, I'd say that it's unlikely he would be King Leo's brother. The family resemblance is not strong.

Do you mean this page? If so, the article claims that "The king and his forces were pitted against an army of barbarian invaders commanded by Cedric the Bull." I don't see any reference there to King Leo and Cedric the Bull being related.

Re: Second Kingdoms Wave?

I see two pitchforks in the mill set! All of these far surpass my original expectations, even the ambush set, which is my least favourite. I already want multiples of at least three of the sets: the smith for the new weapons, the dragon knights' jail for the new barding and oval shield, and the mill...
