Thanks for the great Tutorial post Recluce!
I will have to try this out once I have some of these bricks - I really like the advanced tutorial about the switch. I can see this as being a very usefull tool for fireplace glow, stained glass and lamps - cool stuff

Wonderful discussion. I believe that anything that appeals to you and can be used to represent your vision of Castle is castle. I would not bring guns and cars and hi tech into it but many good fantasy stories add these elements with a coherent story line that could be appropriate. When I am playing...

I prefer the look of the 6086 Black Knight's Castle (or Dungeon Master's Castle) over the 6090 Royal Knight's Castle. I also like the variety of figs. I can picture putting 4 6086's together into a formidable keep. Grouping 6090's would be much more open. I can picture 6090 for a great keep by the s...

Thanks for the comments Josh. I wanted to see if I could pull off the concept within the contest constraints. I went for a crowded look because without all the people it seemed quite stark. Perhaps using the white bricks caused that. I like it better this way, but admit you would have to have the ro...

Yes, and there are templates available on the Minifig Customization Network. They are probably here on CC somewhere as well, I'm just not as familiar with the site to know where. Would be pretty cool to have matching decals for the head armor as well. Thanks for the tip, I have been working with so...

Great review. Thanks for sharing with such great pics and commentary. I am really interested in the cockpit and bottom pieces for a boat idea - this one jumped into mind immediately (thanks for reinforcing the idea Alan). It is a similar piece to the one I used in my Elven boat . http://www.brickshe...
