Re: Seaside Castle
Very impressive. I have always wanted to build micro at this scale. Fantastic stonework details and I really like the inclusion of the wooden palisade. Great landscaping and I like the random houses too. Very well done

Re: Crazy Medieval Fact
Thanks all, I have been looking for a subject to build a series of vignettes as a side project and "Crazy Medieval Facts" suits perfectly I may yet mod this build slightly with a forced perspective background. We'll see how I go.
Thanks again, everyone!

Crazy Medieval Fact
Jousting on ice, according to this episode of the UK kid's show Horrible Histories , English peasants made skates from animal bone and jousted on the frozen river Themes. I can't find much to support it online though, but it inspired me to build this simple diorama. :roflol: http://farm8.staticflick...

Very nice. As mentioned before you have a vey unique style. Excellent attention to detail, the colour blending is really well done too

That is so cool. Somehow I must have missed that page, or maybe it was created in my absence. I'll have to show Christine, she'll be stoked by the mention. Well done guysBruce N H wrote: travels of Henry and Harold

Re: The Dark Knight Goes Medieval
Thanks everyone for the kind words and comments, it is really good to be back in the kingdom of Classic Castle, and so many of my old compatriots are now noblemen! Great to see so many new faces too. I don't have the time I used to have so my builds will not be as think and fast as they once were bu...

The Dark Knight Goes Medieval
Hi all! This is my latest build, a fairly simple medieval house to help refamiliarise myself with the brick and to try out some new elements. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7016/6672685961_12509e1dc4_m.jpg Pic is a Brickshelf link or [url=http://www.fli=ckr.com/photos/darkspawn/6672685961/in/photostr...

Wow, these figs keep getting better and better. My only complaint is I can't keep up with the releases. Slow down LEGO! I'm still seeing the odd series 3 figure in Australian stores.

Re: LEGO Walkie Talkies - junk
The lack of studs on a "LEGO" branded product is criminal. There certainly seems to be an outsourcing trend recently with TLC - remember that LEGO camera a little while back? As I recall punters were less than impressed for similar reasons, and at 50$ for a 3MP camera, one would expect mor...

Re: LEGO Friends line
I'm a little disappointed that LEGO sees the need to invent a whole new line rather than expanding the existing Town theme, which already has heaps of sub-themes as it is. My 7 year old daughter loves the Town theme, it would have been great to see something more along the line of Paradisa (did I ge...

Nice build, I especially like the roofing tiles and terrain. The dark background is a nice touch too.

Re: Lith My'athar
Very striking. The size is certainly impressive but the colour scheme is what really grabs your attention. Some great details here, especially the chains built from arches, nice touch. This really has the feel of the cover of a Dungeons and Dragons rule book from the 80's.
