Not a particularly attractive set, it does come chock full of accessories that could be used to build an army, or stock an MOC. Overall, this set is not one that should be purchased for the model itself, but for the selection of pieces.

7/10

My only Dark Forest set. It's a nice little set, but, unfortunately, I took it apart for some reason. i still have the characters and the catapult ammo, but everything else is part of my LEGO pile. I have to find those pieces, as this is as perfect add on or starter set for a forest scene. The rock ...

It does have some nice features, but overall it looks too colourful and crazy to be truly outstanding. I like the idea of what looks like a dungeon underneath, but in my opinion, it is of a much lower class than Vladek's Dark Fortress.

Pros: Classic minifigs.
Old style helmets
They actually look medieval. (Not like the KKII knights, although I do like them.)

Cons: It would be better to add a couple more swords.
Blank shield
No horses to build cavalry units.

This is one of those dungeons that causes people to wake up at three in the morning in cold sweats and begin to cry in fear. (Not that this has ever happened to me...) If my drift wasn't caught, this is one of the best dungeon atmospheres that I have felt. My one question is will there be any...

It is a true masterpiece already, and when the details that grace the castle are erected, it will truly be a pinnacle that all future MOC builders can look upon and say, "this is the standard of building i hope to one day achieve."

Looking forward to the finished product like everyone else.

I bow down to the master. When you look at individual Duplo pieces and sets, you don't really see how they can turn into anything that a person older than three would find worthwhile playing with, but somehow the creator managed to build a masterpiece with a large handicap like this.

Hands down, my favourite set from the KK2 line is Vladek's Dark Fortress. The siege weapons, the colouration, the sheer size and intimidation... :D As for the Dragon Masters era, I would have to say anything from the Dark Forest area. The only one I had was the small one (forgot the name), but unfor...

KK2 Seige Weapons

I'm not sure if this topic falls under this category, but I had a modification idea for the KK2 Vladek's Fortress Siege weapon. (The one with the gear that launches the horribly disproportionate cannon style projectile.) It constantly broke down on me, so I completely tore it apart, leaving only the...

The only big castle that I own. I may be a bit out of the loop, as I only know about the classic castles from the pictures, and don't really know how good they are, but I rate this fortress as excellent. The imposing colour combination of deep, almost bloodlike red and the high and wide black walls ...

It's a nice little set. I don't have it, but it is a good way to get a king and a few accessories. The only odd thing is that it is unlikely that a king would be pushing his own cart full of supplies; he'd have a peasant/servant doing that for him.
