I think that Lord_Of_The_LEGO's fourth (last) Haiku and forester3291's second and fourth (last) Haiku are the best ones the've written, these realy have the Haiku mood.

With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen.

Since every old building in the town where I live is made from sandstone, I can say with a great degree of certainty that sandstone has a reddish color. That is because stone quarried in your region contains the natural red pigment ironoxide. There are other regions where this is not the case, and ...

So while we're at it, someone wanna tell me what the Yellow Castle is supposed to be made out of? My guess is sand? Sandstone :) A casual glance at a new catalog will leave the reader thinking: "The Dutch are a STRANGE people!" Gotta love 'em though! I know we're both small countries, but...

Aging, but hardy: those are my favourites, although they aren't really common. I like old heroes, whose glorious battle-days are over, and who should be retired, but are once again called on by destiny/kingdom/friends/etc to save the day. A fellow Like Cohen the Barbarian from the well known 'Discw...

First of all, thank you for your nice comments. Cool tower moom. Love the window. The knight looks awesome Yup, I'm quite pleased how these turned out myself. For the knight I must give credit to Daniel Siskind. This tower is a very nice evolution from the last one. The park bench is great as well. ...

Tower(-ish) MOC has become mature

Hello forum, All your kind feedback and helpfull remarks triggered me to transfer my tower into a more mediaeval looking version. A while ago I've already replied to all your remarks from the group, in the previous "Kind of tower-ish" thread in this posting: http://classic-castle.com/forum...

Re: Boarding House

Design Notes: I had this idea for one building needing so much space that it had to be built over another building. I’m not sure about the results. It’s sorta funky looking, but then I have to imagine that many buildings back then were rather oddly shaped, so maybe it’s ok. Don't worry about this, ...

James, this inn of yours is a very good tutorial example for persons attempting the "build it yourself" Tudor style. To them I would say: Please note the jump of the horizontal beams around the windows, the fact that one wing of the building is slightly longer that the opposite wing, and t...

IMHO just two floors is a bit too few to call it a pagoda. Maybe you could try go for a more tower-ish look, for instance in the style of one of the alternate models for set #7419 'Dragon Fortress' (the one top-middle on the backside of the box)

I've been thinking, if someone makes a slightly larger MOC and needs a externally offset hinge as 'Henry's House' has, one could model a cellar entrance hatch just above the hinge, for instance with a pair of 'Flag 2x2' parts. http://img.lugnet.com/ld/2335.gif With friendly greetings, M. I haven't thought about the balcony in a while, but now that you bring it up, I'll add a skeleton head to each side of the fence-part. It seems like that would look cool, with the two small white parts standing out against all the black. It's sure worth a try, I think it might look interesting. It ...
