I think I much prefer the first one - though it does seem matronly compared to the second one. The second one would be better (IMO) if .. um.. her bricks weren't so stacked?
Kinda reminds me of fly eyes...
(Again.. just my opinion)

Could totally tie in with todays sets.
(sort of a warcraft 2/stronghold crusader meets Lego castle - Cartoony, fun, RTS .. what's not to love?)

Re: New Article: Ovoid Shields and Stickers
Feel free to use any of these images as you wish. They are free to download and to use. However, if the situation arises, please give me my due credit. These shields were a lot of work. From the actual article... (which I still go to on a regular basis - these things are truly awesome.) Also, Tony ...

Re: Low quality figs in non-regular sets.
The odd thing to me is that Items like magnets, or chess sets seem to be geared towards collectors. So... you'd think the quality control would be tighter since (as a rule) collectors are a bit more picky towards what they are buying.

Very very nice. I like the use of the custom helmet with the neck guard of the classic helm. You did a good job.

Re: Broken Legos
yup - plain old superglue works great. Sand the edges smooth, being careful not to take too much off. (you still want the hand to be able to slip in the gap between the handle and the shield itself.) Get a flat surface to lay the shield down, make an armature with a clip on the end to hold the handl...

Re: WARHAMMER?
You know, its because a guy here asked me about decals for his Warhammer fantasy figs that I got into WH40K. See, he'd seen a few decals I did, and told me his wife had made him choose between which expensive bits of plastic he was going to keep playing with, and figured that Lego was a) cheaper by ...

Re: The Hanging of the Commander [FIXED]
Interesting and creepy story.... especially using a female torso for the male commander. and here I was going to make a crack about a lumpy commander, or a hairy chick. You beat me to the punch (in pointing it already). :D seriously - I like the use of multiple heads to show the different stages. I...

Re: New Designs
From a more realistic point of view, I think your female orc looks a bit too clean and attractive for an orc. Also, it seems to be missing a waistline and, err... cleavage. I was thinking that they wouldnt look to "pretty" then male orcs, but if you want sexy orcs.... here you go :eyebrow...
