I asked a buddy (he has a small injection molding company) about the two tone molding process - he suggested that you could just layer in the different coloured pellets. However, if Lego is using colourless pellets (as has been suggested by others), then adding the colour - I am not sure if his woul...

I don't mind the premolded animals at all - I would be happy if there were more of them personally. This would just give me more choices. My only request would be that they look a little less like Duplo (recent elements) and a little more 'realistic', meaner, darker, etc. Not that I would ever use M...

Although I may have eggs and rotten produce thrown at me - I prefer the new bleys - there - I said it. I think they look cleaner. In addition, I only have a, relatively, small collection of the old greys, which does not leave me trying to match up new colours with the old. As such, I have boxed up m...

For me:
LOTR; although, it seems like Lego is getting fairly close to this now...

Rome - Total War - with the various factions

Include other great nations above and beyond European ones.

Some battle-packs with dwarves/orcs in them - must have more orcs...

A very clever design, and although the tower would appear to be the jewel, it is the cliffs that I like the most. The way they have been 'eroded' by water, wind, and time is inspiring. The lack of colour change between the 'sand' and the 'cliffs' does not, for me, take away from the design. Overall ...

Certainly a detailed and complicated design. The roofs are well done and the apples in the tree inspired me to order some. Lee.

Keeping in mind that the whole creation is brilliant - my favourite element is the waterfall.

With the 'frothing' of the water at the base of the fall and the gradation of the water colour it just doesn't get any better.

Beautiful job John and I can't wait to see the creation for this year. Your rounded towers inspired my daughter to create similar ones on her next castle, which in turn meant I had to buy-up large portions of dark-pink 1X3s and 1X1 rounds from Bricklink - *sigh* - the love of a father for his daught...

Large display guidance...

:?: I am starting the planning for a large Helm's Deep scene and am looking for some guidance into creating a 'mobile' structure. As for an idea of the scale, this link shows half (sans the undead figs) of the orc army: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=262937 . The other half are stil...

If I hadn't already seen DARKspawn's excellent work in the past - I might be inclined to believe that he was going for quantity over quality. However, I have seen his work, which is excellent; I just didn't realize Aaron was such a prolific creator - brilliant job to all. Lee.

It is a truly beautiful creation - a piece of art. Thanks for sharing the information. I am going to give a go at the horse's helm, and the information you have provided will be extremely valuable. I would have thought you used a modeler's spray-gun to create such a nice finish - I guess you must be...

It is a very interesting looking castle - I am not sure I am sold on the mountain portion, but I am only looking at in pictures. In an effort to see what this may look like in person, I am going to play with the technique. As such, I have been raping and pillaging Bricklink for tiles and slopes. A d...
