Re: Online draft

I agree that if the draft is to be done by live turn, it has to be done at a specific time when everyone is on. But is this the best way to do it? Finding a time that is good for everyone, with participants potentially from around the world, might prove difficult. Then there's all the problems that...

Re: Online draft

Anyway, at this point it's just an idea, so we'd love your input on how to do it and/or whether it's something you'd want to be a part of. I think it's a really neat idea, and the suggestion to have only one person buy the sets and handle the shipping makes a lot of sense. Since you asked for input...

Series II Minifigures in Stores (October 2011)

If you're Canadian and have a Mastermind toy store nearby , you might want to check them out. The one near me still has several boxes of Series II minifigures for sale, and discussion with the staff suggests that this might be true for other stores as well. It seems like they have a backlog of them ...

Re: Autumn Leaves

I've added my voice to appeals for autumn coloured foliage in the past, and I'm happy to do so again here. If these were made available, especially at a pick-a-brick wall, I'd buy scads of them.

Re: BrickWarriors Castle Accessories

My order (two-handed axes, swords, funky helm) arrived this morning, and I am very, very happy. Each of the pieces appears to be perfectly compatible with minifigure hands and heads, but each seems to be just a little more substantial that Lego's own accessories. I really like this. Each piece has g...

I was very excited to see that you're now shipping to Canada, and subsequently equally excited to place my order today. Now, I'm quite looking forward to its arrival. :)

Re: Technic Question

The ones I got in the Atlantis scorpion have a stopper. You cannot push a technic axle straight through them.

http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6187/6068633979_956861d2cc_m.jpg I'm loving the look of this gatehouse. As others have mentioned, it has a true classic feel to it, and let me echo the sentiment that you shouldn't put yourself down for this. Many of us became enamoured with Lego because of the classi...

Re: Collectable Series 5 - review - now in stores (UK,US,oth

So I had a Bricklink order come in today with a couple of the Series 5 dwarves and murmillones, and I have to say that I am very, very impressed. I've picked up a number of figures from the past series--Robin Hood, elf, vampire, witch, hoplite, pharaoh, robot, and a few others--but I think that thes...

Re: Texas State Railroad Engine #201

Tony, All of your engines are stunning. I have enjoyed every one that you've posted, but I rarely comment on them. I just don't know what to say, but let me try to go with this. Each of your engines looks like a highly detailed cast model of the train it represents. In most cases one has to look rea...

Re: Old Brown Pieces

Yup, agreed. At the moment I'm looking into this idea (as an exercise) so here I'd stick with the single colour... Ah, I see now. In that case, I'd suggest going with Reddish Brown. Dark Brown would look better in my opinion, but it's missing key pieces for recreating sets. For example, while there...

Re: Old Brown Pieces

I think someone posted in another thread that dark brown looks pretty good for tree trunks. Between Brown and Reddish Brown, which do you think looks better? I don't think you need to choose. Just as there is colour variation in a forest, it's more realistic for you to have to have variation in you...

Re: [SW] Two Lost Droids

Instantly recognizable, and true to the scene. You've captured the feeling of the shot, especially the barren emptiness through the monochromatic sand.

Will there be two scenes of droids being captured by Jawas in the future?
