Re: [News] Collectible Minifigs Series 6 & 7

I got several figs from the lego store at 2.99, and I'm beginning to wonder if the price elevation is not until series 7 or *crosses fingers* isnt actually going to happen.

Re: Some love for Castle

I'd like to see some broadening of the castle horizon, into other places and eras, but that's just me. Romans, Greeks, Samurai, Medieval Islam, Byzantine, and Conquistadors would all be fun diversions from the main castle theme, and could be done in a way simaler to the vikings from 06 (i think :? )...

Re: Series 6 is in stores with some castle worthy figures.

I'm perfectly content to feel the packages, and so far I've only missed twice since I started collecting (although I've purposely surprized myself a couple times too 8) ). Honestly I think it's kind of a fun game trying to figure the figs out by touch, adds to my excitement when I finally find a Rom...

Re: Series 6 is in stores with some castle worthy figures.

I went to the lego store and picked up 1 each of the Roman (ROMAN!) Highlander, Leprechaun, Genie, Surgeon, and Flamenco Dancer (by accident). I was thuroughly impressed by the roman, but sadly I dont think that the currently available plumes work well on his awsome helmet. The older one with three ...

Re: LOTR and the hobbit lego

Honestly I love all of Tolkien's work, but if it's going to be done in lego, it had better be done right. I don't mind if we dont get redicculously large Minas Tirith and Helms deep sets, but if the figs, creatures, accessories, and models turn out poorly, then there's a problem. I'm not a fan of fl...

I like the forced perspective theme you have going here, and framing picture one with trees was a stroke of genius. On a side note, why Gorang  !

Lovely build, and i'm realy looking forward to seeing further hobbit MOCs from you (especially after seeing the collaborative Amon Hen you helped build).

Re: Ruins on the Thomshill River-CCC IX

Beautiful water, and the tomb itself is very ornate. I think that the treasure itself doesn't look golden/jeweled enough for my taste, but that's a personal preferance, since the MOCs quality is obviously wonderful. My favorite entry in the category so far, good luck :D

Re: CCCIX Celebration Entry - Michaelmas

Very beautiful. The whole roof and walls section is lovely, as are the celebration and the collection. Oddly, I noticed that this is the first time I've seen the mill village raid villagers together with the MMV ones, despite owning many of each. The antlers must have been a difficult build, conside...

Re: [CCCIX Hidden Treasure] Sorry, there is no cellar door.

Sweet entry. It's unique, detailed, interesting, easily understood, has well placed figs, and of course has Hugh. My only criticism is that it lacks color, which does help to highlite the gold treasure chests, but I think it makes the exterior a bit dreary. Lovely MOC, and good luck in the contest :...

Re: CCCIX Misc Entry - San Kastel

Firstly, nice pun :P . Secondly, this is amazingly detailed for something it's size. It does a good job of conveying the feeling of abstract decadence. I love the windows, though I'm not quite sold on the rooftop garden. I look forward to the rest of the story, and good luck in the contest.

Re: CCCIX Misc. Category - The Mage's Tower

I love your color choices all throughout the MOC, especially on the tower. Only criticism is that I think there are too many figures in the foreground, and they cover up a good portion of the lovely and detailed landscape.

Re: Cloonbarry Windmill-CCC IX-Miscellaneous

A lovely rural MOC, and if I may say so a perfect example of packing all the detail you can into a small MOC. I also see the use of various Derfdel Cadern techniques, which work quite well in this particular MOC.

Re: MOC - Dalheim Medieval Diorama

This is one of the most beautiful natural settings I've ver seen in lego. The houses and scenery are nice too, but the watterfalls, trees, and undergrowth just amaze me. I also like the backstory about tax evasion, it adds some everyday mystery and color to the village. Have you considered building ...
