Anyone know the part number for the camel saddle? The flickr note says it's a "Fabuland saddle" but I'm having a hard time finding anything on Bricklink.

Re: 3D lego surface

I don't remember where I've seen it before, but if you arrange the sheet with contrasting colors (like a checkerboard), you can produce a nice 'hounds-tooth' pattern that would look nice in a throne-room floor.

Re: Imperial Flagship Review

Svelte's comment concerns me: Like the 10193 Medieval Market Village before it, the January 2010 Exclusive slot comes as a theme-killing extravaganza, an end-of-world party to beat all others: the enormous 10210 Imperial Flagship is a behemoth unlike anything that has gone before it, and it will be ...

Sounds like fun. International shipping is fine for me.

Yep. The axe heads and the helmet are reddish brown rather than copper unlike the pics below:

I love the library (being a librarian, I can't help myself). I like your dragon too. It's a nice touch to have a brickbuilt piece rather than the current fantasy dragons.

Re: No Copper in the Dwarves' Mine?

My Trolls king's crown was just brown? Is it meant to be copper? I believe it's just brown (according to bricklink it is just brown). I've not gotten one yet. Still, when I look at the promo pics, it looks like they're advertising copper! http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9623/trollcrown.gif Compare t...

Re: Review of Engraved plates by Matija.

Interesting. Has anyone had any experience engraving bricks? What kind of tools are necessary to achieve the straight lines, etc.? I've used a hand-held Dremel tool / metal engraver before, but it's very difficult to get a steady line without a jagged edge.

Nice. I like your use of goblets for the legs. I've surveyed different techniques for building centaurs, and I've not yet seen that parts usage.

Good idea! I never thought to contact Lego. I will indeed keep the brown pieces. They just may come in handy!

No Copper in the Dwarves' Mine?

I just picked up the Dwarves' Mine and there are no copper-coated pieces in it! They are only reddish-brown. I noticed that in the Burlington Massachusetts Lego Store's display model of the Troll's Mountain Fortress that pieces like the king's crown were not copper either (though it looks like in al...

Lego meets papercraft

This product looks promising for custom work: Lego for MUJI Paper and Block Sets (Japanese site - link to Google Translate ) http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/4800/legoformujipaperandbloc.th.jpg The product features a hole punch that fits standard Lego studs. I can see this being useful in putting to...
