Re: LEGO CUUSOO

No kidding about the tax implications.

1% revenue from sales isnt too much if they market them like the sub or even the satelite. If they decide to sell the cuusso items in the Lego Stores and
through worldwide shop@home, then you are talking about big money, even 1%.

Re: Bricktober

I didn't even see them at my local TRU (Gainesville, FL) when I was there on Tuesday, but it's selection of Lego was a little sparse. They have a good selection of Series 5 minifigs though, and several larger sets are on clearance, plus the 10% discount. They are usually "hidden" by the c...

Re: Bricktober

Now I have reservations on getting the forestmen.... I could try my luck and go to the lego store and see if they have construct-a-fig parts there still... perhaps not. I might still get the "classic knight", but that is perhaps all. November, we'll have to check if there are any left over...

Re: #10230 Mini Modulars

I am not interested too much in microscale. Its a neat idea and I like the adaptability of the pieces and techniques applied to a much smaller/tighter scale.

If it was up to me, the best way to "reward" VIP's is to re-issue the Market Street or Cafe Corner...

Re: Bricktober

I remember that these werent available for inidividual sale until October was over.

For some reason there was a horde of leftovers available. I remember getting a bunch of these in my stocking from my wife including the
Black Falcon. My wife said they were giving them away for free....

Re: Your most purchased sets

I bought like 10 each of the 10000 legend guarded inn.... c'mon... at $25 bucks a pop when they came out, that was almost a steal.

I think I have almost as many legend Breezeway Cafe's...like 8 or so.

Re: Least favorite castle set

I was going to say that I have to embarrassingly admit that I too have the 8779 Grand Tournament set, which I have to agree with others and say that this is both the worst castle set put out, and the worst castle set I own. If it is any consolation is that I got the set bundled with a sword and shie...

Re: The better parts of KK2

The best part of KK2 was when it ended... But even I must admit the later years of the theme had a few decent sets, soldier minifigure (not knights) design, and shields. Ben :roflol: Yup. I'm sort of glad that KK2 only lasted 2 years. I like the stuff that came out afterwards. Euro Armor, the Scorp...

Re: Photo review of 6918 Blacksmith Attack

I thought the little bag of weapons reminds me of something you might get from BrickForge or Brick Arms. I am not trying to mean this in a negative way, just that the big company is producing stuff that the community at large might be interested in buying. For 9.99 or 12.99 Canadian, its well worth ...

Re: Ninjago impressions

Initial Impressions: VASTLY OVERPRICED.... playability.... well the spinners really suck... especially if you compair them to their Beyblade counterparts. 1 minifigure, 1 spinner, a couple of weapons and a few cards... my strong suggestion is wait until thanksgiving and see if these get cleared out ...

I understand why the Skeleton Ship is soo expensive

I was trying to find this set at a "reasonable" price now adays to no avail. Both Bricklink and Ebay have few of these at such insane prices... almost as pricey as the market street.... but I digress. I then decided maybe it might be cheaper to just put together the ship and set with piece...

Winter ToyShop Returns to Shop@Home

Much to the dismay of all the Ebay Sellers trying to jack the cost of owning one of the most delightful sets that came out last year, Lego has decided to release another run of this gorgeous holiday toyshop. Set 10199 Winter Toyshop, $59.99 US Its listed at "Hard to Find" on the website. E...

Re: Significant others and LEGO

My wife loves lego. We just got 7684 Pig Farmer and Tractor... at $35 US (MSRP) it is a tad over-priced.... but it does come with 4 little pigs and the intangible play factor I get is almost priceless. She dislikes it that I put all the porkers on the back of the trailer. She says the pigs dont go o...
