i am knew here and i want to know how many posts it takes to get to the next "rank" thank you

You should've read the
Admin announcements - updated September 25, 2006 thread
stickied in this section of the forum, and/or used the search function to find the
Forum Ranks thread. Then you would have known this:

I would encourage you not to focus on the forum ranks and number of posts, but more the content of your posts.
Starts good discussions and thoughts.
Spelling/Grammar.
If you do that, your posts overtime will add up, but post count and ranks should not matter than much.
