Name changes and Forum titles

Post by SavaTheAggie »

To all C-C Forum Members:

Most requests for Forum name changes will not be honored. Your username is your identity, and changing names becomes confusing for established members. It will be much more difficult for an established member to receive a name change than a new member.

In order for your name to be changed, a forum administrator must be contacted and a request be made. A name change request will only be honored if sufficiant and valid reasons accompany it.

A few examples of sufficiant and valid reasons are, but not limited to:

-Your name too closely resembles another, pre-existing forum member's name.
-Your name includes your full first and full last name and you have privacy issues.
-Your name includes vulgarity and the admins did not catch it

In order for your name to be changed for privacy issues, you must prove that you have never posted using your full first and full last names in the body of any of your posts.

Forum titles are a gift and a privilege, and can be removed at any time. Under normal circumstances, you earn your higher status simply by posting.

Note: Obvious posting for higher rank, such as too many one word replies, or copious replies to yourself, will not be tolerated.

Most requests for Special Forum Titles will not be honored.

Special forum titles are given, at will, by the Forum Administrators.

Those members who are given permanent special forum titles are Forum Administrators, Forum Moderators, and members whose actions greatly benefit Classic-Castle.com and/or earn the repect of the Admins.

Those members who are given non-permanent special forum titles earn them for completing special tasks, such as winning a contest, or for some other, unannounced reason. These titles may be given to any forum member.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time for any reason.

We reserve the right to change anyone at any time for any reason.

We reserve the right to change anything at any time for any reason.

Thanks for the clarification (in my cast posting status).

Sounds good to me. But then, I never had naming/title issues. Except for being a Gong Farmer, WAY back. And getting out of that was easy.
