Yup...it is. But there will always be those who want to tear down something that other people have built. Troy is in charge of a great site here and I think that is obvious to a lot of people. If Gordon, Gimp, GOTH, Dr. Sensible, or whatever he is called, really wants to take down Troy, he can go build a better site. But that isn't going to happen, it takes too much work. So he can keep trying to post here and attempting to take down Troy and he will keep getting smitten. To be perfectly honest, I was tempted to do a little private smiting of my own, but I was a good boy and refrained.

PS. Green Fox may know Gordon (he never admited or denied that he was his friend) but that doesn't make Green Fox responsible for Gordon's actions. I am not responsible for the dumb things my friends do, as long as I discourage the dumb things.

I'd even take it a step farther. I'm not responsible as long as I don't ENCOURAGE the dumb things. Active discouragement isn't necessary, although definitely a good idea.
How and why was he trying to take down Troy? As far as I can see, you can't take down the King at all. Exactly what happened?
Gordon/Gimp of the Hills was upset because Troy has the highest post count, which is over 10000. Since Troy is the forum admin, it is appropriate that he has such a large post count number. Post counts and custom titles do not matter anyway. The admins have custom titles so that users will know that we are admins. A troll can't "take down an Troy" or any other admin by posting on our site. Gordon's actions are unacceptable, immature, and break the ToS. He is just a nuisance to all of the other Classic-Castle members.
