Gordon has been Smote

Post by Troy »

I was feeling smiteful this morning, and Gordon got the brunt of it. For being a troll. And for referencing someone that was already banned in one of his posts. Probably the same person. Either way, I have little patience for such things.

Who did he refer to, and how was he being a troll? Just natural human curiosity....don't smote me!

He referred to Gimp-of-the-hills, and trolled by posting several topics that had very little to do with anything(and nothing to do with LEGO).

GOTH was banned? I never knew that.

What did he get banned for if I may ask.

It's good to be king.

And its good to have a King. I usually read the new posts early in the morning and the last two days consisted of piles of nonsense on top of the good stuff. Thanks Troy, I was tired being a gong farmer these last two mornings. Long live the King!

AFOL and his money are easily parted.

He was banned for trolling and breaking the forum ToS. Gordon probably was also the Gimp. At the very least, he also chose poorly.

My apologies for not getting to deleting some of these topics sooner. The admins try to deal with problems as soon as possible but we are not always online 24-7. I am glad that Troy and Tony can ban members who break the rules repeatedly. That is what a Forums admin is for  Thank you Josh and the other members who posted or pm'd admins to make us aware of the problems.

Not to add too contribute too much time/effort to a person who's already wasted our time (the troll), but I'm really happy to see proactive steps by the admins... as it was not my place to say anything, I kept quiet when I saw the nonsense postings, but I felt he was taking away from the site and in a small way, the community... thanks admins! :D
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

Using my magic-looking-portal made from dictionaries and bionicle bubble bath containers, I conclude that Gimp and Gordon are the same person. I know the person behind the madness, you see. I know him good.

To Admins: He may log on again as a professor of english under a name like: "Dr. Sensible."

Lock And Ban.

That could possibly explain why his posts and your posts come from the same IP address.

Care to elaborate?

I'm guessing a sibling/school computer. I would presume that rules out an IP ban... Shame. :?

Okay. We post on completely different PCs, but my '98 was playing up recently, as you all know, and my posts made between my leaving and my coming back were made on a school PC, and that was where he posted his "Gordon" posts. His "Gimp" ones were made on his own. If he logs on as "Sir Sensible" (which he may) , then that is on his own PC.

Hope that makes sense.

@ Green Fox
I'm wondering why you call yourself a friend of someone who is messing things up over here and do nothing about it...
