Kight Bannerett?

Post by Formendacil »

Okay, I hate to toot my own horn, and draw attention to the number of posts I have, but I noticed that I passed the 2300 mark today, and apparently that promotes me from Knight to the next rank.

Which apparently is a "Kight Bannerett".

Is this a typo? Because when I went to look this up to find out what the heck I had been promoted to, it came up blank, but with the suggestion that it was supposed to be a Knight Bannerette.

Now, I don't PARTICULARLY care about being a Kight Bannerett. I am, after all, the only known Kight Bannerett in existence. I was just wondering if this was something that ought to be fixed.

EDITED TWICE FOR SPELLING

As lame as it may be... I must confess to being a bit jealous... but I have no idea what your name means... maybe it's customized for ya? heh heh...
Knight Templar

I think Baronet is the correct title.

The reason I'm pretty sure they got the spelling right for word to is this:

If you want to go find the old and locked "CC Titles" thread, you can see my post there, but the relevant extract:

Baronet: Or Knight Banneret - Baronet technically is an English title after the medieval period. A Banneret is a step up over a common knight. Neither this or a Knight Bachelor have heriditary lands attached to the title.

I was kinda waiting on your post count to see if they had gone with Baronet or Knight Banneret or perhaps something different. :D

(looking at my new infliction....ummm....title...) Warrior Vagrant? Ooooo, time for a new avatar (Ronin at last!). :D

Hey! It's been fixed.

I'm no longer a misspelled kite's bannerette (which I would assume is the tail of the kite)

Thanks admins!

Hey, since one of your definitions reads: "knight of the square flag", I think a "kite banneret" is when that knight attaches a string to the square flag on a windy day. :P
