Everything is on the web. The odometer is the thing in your car that tells how many miles you've driven. Depending on how many digits it has, when you've driven 99,999.9 miles and you drive one more tenth of a mile, it "flips", that is, goes all back to zero. Ironically, that's kind of what the hackers tried to do.jamitjames wrote:What's an odometer?
Okay, so it's about a month later and NOW I see this!Bruce N H wrote: Actually, I think I may have been post 50000 (+ or - 1). It's not that I was particularly trying, it's just that Anthony had given a heads-up that we were close, so I was keeping an eye on the count while I was going through and responding on a couple of threads. Sir Nelson was also on line at about the same time (~midnight Los Angeles), so his might have been the fateful post.

Really? I thought most odometers go to 999,999.9. If they only went to 99,999.9, my car would have reached 0 twice! (3x in kms). What kind of car are you driving Bruce? Inquiring minds want to know.Bruce N H wrote:The odometer is the thing in your car that tells how many miles you've driven.
