I'm having a hard time keeping my avatar small as far as size is concerned. So far I've reduced it to this size:

Yet, it is about 15 Kb above the 10Kb max....you guys sure that you can't raise the limit a tad? Please?

Looking at the picture you linked to, it appears to be 3.2Kb which is well under the limit.

I do not believe that the size is the problem, but the file name may be. Try to rename it without having two periods in it. Something like "image.jpg" instead if "imaged.jpg_thumb.jpg".
