I think (and correct me if I am wrong CY) that Cyclonis' response was somewhat tongue in cheek. :D
I do think if a MOC offends you because of your faith then I'd really rather not hear about it. Unless of course its blatant propoganda decrying your faith.

I will say that I haven't seen any real conflict over religion here which is nice. (some strong opinions sure.. but no real conflict)

lets try a test?

building a holy temple (church/temple/mosque etc) - probably ok
building a baptism vignette- probably ok (preferably middle ages)
building a vignette out of any religious book - probably ok
Building a MOC that shows a Christian Army slaughtering demons riding on the backs of Jews and Muslims, oh and slaughtering the Jews and Muslims too - probably not ok (that image was in a religious tract that was mailed to my home - it is full of wonderful bedtime stories like that for the kids... )
building a MOC of the capture of Jerusalem by Christians- probably ok (it is a historical event, and while bad things happened it was caused by the people involved, not by virtue of the sackers being Christian)

seems kinda common sense to me.

I agree with Shadow--I'm not sure of the further purpose of this thread. Both Ben and Lenny have answered the original question:

LEGO creations, and discussions thereof, with religious subject matter are generally fine. (e.g. cathedrals, mosques, monasteries, temples, links to the Brick Testament, Christmas-themed MOCs, even a custom Satan minifig) I could imagine creations that are deliberately offensive that the Admins might discuss and ask the builder to remove (like, maybe, Pat's suggested MOC above), but have not yet seen such creations here.

In the "Medieval Life" forum, discussion of religious customs during the castle era are okay, particularly as they relate to inspiration for LEGO creations (e.g. "I'm planning on building a monastery; what sorts of buildings would be involved in a medieval monestary?").

Small statements like "Merry Christmas" or whoever it is that closes their posts with "God bless" won't raise any real concerns.

Threads that devolve into acrimonious debates that are not related to LEGO will be eventually closed down. People trying to push their own religious faith on others will be closed down. People denigrating the religious faith of others will be closed down.

I'll go ahead and close this thread. If any other admins or mods want to open this up and add to it, go ahead, but otherwise there's not much reason to continue, IMO.
