How Long must you keep us in suspense????

Post by Hothir Ethelnor »

I was just wondering, (I know it must be hard figuring out who's mocs are the best,) when are you going to tell us who won!! it's been three days now! anyhow let me know if there has been any delay and I shall try to be patient :?

Patience is a virtue, young one
There were many entries and the admins said the judgement may take more time than they expected. So wait a little longer. 8)

Even though the 16th was the estimated date we have been overwhelmed with the large quantity of entries this year. Do not expect final grades until sometime in February.

Since you just asked, it won't be until Feb 16th. Now aren't you happy? Hmm?

Thanks a lot Hothir Ethelnor, I had completely forgotten about the contest being graded :P . Now I just need to forget again. It's a lot easier than being patient.

Lol.

Troy and I are holding it up, sorry everyone. Thankfully tonight will be the first non-busy night in a long while, so I'll be able to get mine in.

This has been about the third thread in this theme, and I'm wondering why. The Admins are working hard to get this finished, and when they respond to threads like this, it takes away from their valuable grading time.

Mike Angelo: When I'm finished!

The Silmarillion wasn't finished in a marillion days!

Just think of it as a surprise Christmas present that got lost in the mail - when it finally gets there, it will be a tremendous and enjoyable surprise.

My thoughts exactly! Sure, I am very excited to know the results, but the Admins deserve a break. They do an awesome job...

Since the admins were late on grading every previous year (all two of them), I have to wonder why they even said they would be ready on the 16th. Why not just say "Feb 1" next time. At least you'll get a couple more weeks to grade before people start complaining. :)

I guess I should have entered then, or even next year. Having the winners announced on my birthday is a good omen.

Or they could have everyone send them their MOCs so it'd be faster to look at them personally instead of judging by the pictures... :D

Actually, my question is - why do you set a 'deadline' at all? Wouldn't it be easier to say it's done when it's done?

(because) then we'd miss that deadline too. Sheesh people.
