Pink color, is very "à la mode" actually, not only for valentine day.

You're right about the pink.

Something funny: Here in the states, we call pie with ice cream on top, "pie a la mode."

But I get what you're talking about.

Never heard the pie thing...but I do know that "à la mode" means 'in style.'

As for pink...well I've never really liked pink...but I guess it's right for the occasion.

Thanks Jail, now I know the English expression for "à la mode": "In style.

pie à la mode !!!
It's a strange way to say "in style", Jeff. I have a destiny's child CD where they sing "apple pie à la mode". I guessed it was this meaning.

Gaaahhhhhhhhh, purple! Pink and then purple! This is a horrible nightmare: I'm trapped in the Barbie aisle at the toy store and I can't get out! Where's the Lego? Gaaaahhhhhhhh......
