Official CC T-Shirt

Post by Glencaer »

Okay guys, some of you have asked for Classic-Castle T-Shirts, and I am happy to announce we finally have some.

Here is how it works - this is a pre-order situation - each shirt will cost $20 plus $3 shipping. I need orders and paypal money sent to me by Thursday (info below).

Image

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/glenc ... rtidea.jpg

This image is preliminary - the black outline of the shield will be the same as that around Henry - I will also get a higher-resolution for the entire thing. The image will be about six inches by ten inches - and I'll post the final version when I'm finished with it.

The place I am going to is in Jacksonville (3hr away from where I live) and does an excellent job of full-color shirts. My wife and I have many shirts from them, and even after five years, the shirts look good.

If you are interested, send the money to glencaer@angelfire.com include your shirtsize and shipping info. - if you'd like to see it, here's my bricklink feedback http://www.bricklink.com/feedback.asp - I also sell on ebay, so have feedback there as well.

The profit will be used for CC related things, from shipping prizes to buying prizes, to umm.. anything else. But trust me, the profit will be used for CC.

Any other questions? Shoot me off a PM or an email, and I'll get to it ASAP.

Thanks!
-Lenny

Good idea, all big internet LEGO organizations need a shirt.
Personally, I have more shirts than I'll need 'till I have another growth spurt, so I won't get one yet.
One suggestion, I like simpler shirts, without that much different decoration on them, so if you ever wanted to make a second version, I'd recommend just a single picture of the blue rimmed, red and white shield up there ^^^.

Sorry to be be a necromancer on this one (bumping shuch a dead thread), but whatever happened to this idea? That'd be really cool, in my opinion.

Wow.. E... you really had to dig for this old thread, didn't you? You are indeed a necro, infact, it might be a fitting title for you!

But, yeah, did this ever happen? Or did Lenny just get rich on a few poor souls and go out and buy some lego?

Being abroad might limit my chances to buy this, but I do think the idea is a great one. I was thinking about making some of my own LEGO shirts the other day, but a shirt with Henry on it would be classic.

I think it would also be perfect for giving CC a name at some of the LEGO shows and conventions that take place during the year.

Wow, I thought this was a new thread. I was already getting ready to make a payment haha. I agree, this is a great idea. Would've been nice to get this done. I, like Kaloo, think that the shirt design needs to be a bit simpler though. Maybe one image on the front, and the other on the back...

Like the shield on the front, and it saying Classic-Castle.com

Then on the Back, have the fig and it saying The source for LEGO Castle.

A CC shirt would be cool- even though I pretty much never wear t-shirts. But hey, it wouldn't get wrecked then, now would it?

Having them ready for Brickfest would be awesome, since there'll likely be a crew of CCers there, to get decked up together and go around terrorizing the trainheads and spacers...

And yeah, this is an OLD topic... I hadn't even joined in Feb. 2004...

This project never got off the ground to make T-shirts and other merchandise to help fund our contests. Using a picture of a minifig could bring legal complications. A possible solution would be items with the shield and CC text only. Since people seem interested, the admins will have to start talking about this again. Suggestions are welcome but may not be implemented ;)

How about a cartoon (comic book style) rendering of the minifig? Would that work? This would be awesome for Brickfest, heck I'd get 3 or 4 (hopefully they'll have different colors) for my weekly trips to LEGOLand.

Why don't you use the banner? Or, like Maxi said, have one of our talented artist draw something? I'd be willing to buy one of these if you sold them

Heh - I didn't steal anyones money ;). Actually, what happened was that there was no interest, and so I let the plan fall away. Also, the graphic that I was using wasn't the best graphic I could make, so I figured I'd re-do it and then advertise again. But I've been busy, and since there was no interest, figured it wasn't important.

If people are interested again, I can look into it. Keep in mind that shirts would be ~$20, maybe more. Especially when we're talking about small amounts (as opposed to buying several thousand shirts).

Could always have a contest to design the T-shirt. And also, could sell a spot on it for companies to have their logo (a small one) on the shirt.

The idea of a contest would be cool. These were originally designed for paying for CCC prizes right?

Oh, and if these do get off the ground (or off the computer screen for that matter), sign me up for 1.

How bout setting up an online store on CC that sells these shirts (this way you can order a bunch in advance, this will take a bit more overhead, but the price per unit may be less)? Offer White, Black, Red, and Blue Shirts. Heck, I bet you can put the logo on other things... coffee mugs... mouse pads... storage boxes for LEGO! :D
