Where have all the chatters gone?

Postby Athos » Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:09 pm

Chat seems pretty slow as of late. So to paraphrase the folk song, I must ask: "Where have all the chatter's gone?"

I just joined recently, and I have noticed that not very many people are on. I am not on that much, but I try to get on for a while each day. I hope that people will be able to chat some soon.

I totally agree - Chat's very quiet lately (the past several months) compared to what it used to be, before it was removed.

Me? My computer's been dead for a few days now...

For anyone who doesn't visit chat often, you really should, it can be quite good.

I was trying to join, but I couldn't log in, and I tried to create an account, but it didn't work. Maybe I'll try again some time

Check in sometime around 7:00-8:00 p.m. PST, that's when it seemed the most activity was.

I do go by this site once or twice a week, sometimes more.

If I see somebody in the chatroom, I promise to consider chatting with them.

Yeah, I should probably start doing that. I chat at other places, and here I can talk to people about Lego. Which is far more interesting than msot other things.

I've had a few chats with the other roleplayers, but that's it. I don't really see the point of it, with the forums here.

What with school and all, my computer time (when I have time) is spent on things that come (imo) higher on the list than chat.

That being said, I do try to get on as much a possible.

From my experience Classic-Castle's chat is the slowest or at times no one is even there. There are other Lego user chats out there, some are more busy than Classic-Castle, and others are relatively unused.

BrickLink Chat still remains as the preeminent AFOL chatting place...

Now if only they were as... "free" as JLUG chat...

I became quite inactive in both the chat and roleplay once I had to get back to doing schoolwork, plus listing some eBay auctions even vaccuums up my time..
(I also just started playing an RPG, and may possibly get hooked for a while. )

But I would advise people to go on in the night time, definately most active then. (Well, it may not be night for some, but for me it's at around 11pm in NY.)

College, job and Brickfilms.com, roughly in that order.

Where have all the chatters gone
Long time passing
Where have all the chatters gone
Long time ago
Where have all the chatters gone
Gone to build rooms, everyone
When will they ever learn
When will they ever learn
