Actualy it would probably be better if the "exclusive set" involved hercules and several labors, if not all of them. This would cost about the same as the trojan war. All the monsters, and only one herc. fig.

Another Idea would be to have a "city of thebes" because except for troy there isn't realy a "castle" for your hero's to defend. Maby we should actualy make these "set's" if only to see what they would look like.

Note: you might want to include a couple small $5 sets in your idea list.

Vikings didn't really have a small set. The wolf was I think $8? I figured Icarus could cover that price point.

What would be nice for the $5 set size would be the gods. You could have a Zeus set, a Poseidon set and a Hades set.

There are soo many themes to explore...

Maybe a History theme? Choose one civilization at a time or per year. Per theme, you have sets from several time peroids.

For example:

2008 = China theme (why not the Olympics are there so this would be a good time for it)
Ancient China set with Han soldiers or old style villages.
Medieval China set with a fireworks shop
Imperial China set with a HUGE explorer ship (Admiral Zheng He)
Modern China set with a modern looking seaport
Future China set with a Mag Lev train (obvously just for looks, not actual function)

This isn't really a Castle theme, but...one word:

Steampunk.
I collect LEGO themes that start with "C." And Pirates. I call them "Corsairs."
