I wonder if it won't be some kind of UCS Castle set that would go with the Eiffel Tower (and the rumored Taj Mahal and Big Ben sets).
Maybe like a Neuschwanstein?

Lego fans are in the know, pacing increasingly ahead of official release dates into speculative products.HeartOfDarkness wrote:Perhaps the Impulse sets are the surprise.
Hey, it sure surprised me.
So... it could certainly be an impulse set, but impulse sets are coming out for all of the themes, so I don't know if that's special to castle.
Since we're all speculating, I'll guess there's a 15% chance that it's a legend.

There is no set attached to that number and it would fit with the numbers of the 2008 castle sets. Iim not talking about the Impulse sets, I'm talking about the Star Wars Battle Packs only for Castle.leaf_of_lire wrote:I get confused with #'s, do you mean the set that has the soldier with the weapon/armour rack?Sir Vincent wrote:7041 Knights Battle Pack!
I'm going to go along with Athos on this one. I'd say any one Ludwig's castles is a good bet.
The original yellow castle was a great set, in fact it was the first big set I ever bought with my own money way back when. However by today's standards, it looks a little dated and I doubt that there are enough AFOL's out there to justify its re-release.
I think Lego would try to re-release the old Classic Space Galaxy Explorer first as it would be more sentimental to many. The fact that they haven't tried that yet, makes it less likely they would try the castle first.

I hope so. I'm curious to know what the scale of the sets will be?I wonder if it won't be some kind of UCS Castle set that would go with the Eiffel Tower (and the rumored Taj Mahal and Big Ben sets).

I'm pretty sure they'll be a larger microscale, kinda like the Eiffel Tower set.
I would still like a medieval-ish Cafe Corner type set as well!

Personally, I like surprises. On the other hand... how far ahead do we normally know Lego sets? Half a year... more or less. So we don't have to wait a whole year until someone leaks out what it is in April or May '08.
The term "Hobby" allows you to explain to your relatives why you still play with toys...

I forgot about the surprise.
Honestly, I couldn't even throw out a guess of what's in store for us in late '08. But I love suspense and surprises, so I guess I don't mind waiting it out.
Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll love it!

Same here, not gonna speculate, I'll see what it is when we get there, that way it'll be even greater and I couldn't possibly end up disappointed.Lamanda2 wrote: I forgot about the surprise.

I like surpirses and I love to speculate!
For example, there was no afor-mentioned information or pictures regarding the Town Plan set until LEGO put it in that display show thing.
TLG can be extra secretive if they want.
I wouldn't count on a leaked image, especially with it being an extra special set.Blue Monarch wrote:... So we don't have to wait a whole year until someone leaks out what it is in April or May '08.

I want the medieval equivelant of the Cafe Corner. I don't want a micro-scale castle, or a castle that is far too small to fit with the minifigs themselves. Perhaps a tavern or inn similar to this one by Stuifzand.
A small fortified home belonging to a lesser noble or knight would also work well here.
