I guess Ferrari sets are not "core" but every one that I have got in the last two years has stickers for the torsos. I also got torso stickers with the last police set I got - but they were 2006 (I think).

Yikes... that hopefully isn't the beginning of a new trend... it's a bit frightening to see them doing that, even if the sets are not Castle...

Aren't those Ferrari sets quite expensive as well?

Yes, PLEASE get rid of stickers and put REAL PRINTING on LEGO parts.

I actually bought some ExoForce sets because I thought that the Chinese writing on certain elements would look awesome on a few Chinese Military MOCs I made... but noooo... they were STICKERS! Stickers which PEAL OFF over time.

Hey all,

I just bought some Mars Missions sets. They're so cool! They remind me of Mtron sets. Anyway, I didn't put on the stickers yet, because it's a commitment, but the sets really need the stickers to look good. Then I remembered the cool printed pieces on Mtron sets, and how sweet those sets were, without the excruciating choice of whether to put the stickers on. I guess I hate having the choice. As it is, I'll probably just keep the stickers on the sheet, in a perpetual state of indecisiveness, never truly enjoying how the sets are supposed to look.

If the dang pieces were just printed, I could enjoy them without wondering if I made the wrong choice.

It's too much pressure darnit!

I totally agree. Yay for stickers! Why? I get the choice of not using them. I think certain elements should always be printed, minifig parts, certain tile designs, etc, but when it comes to bricks & slopes stickers are a better option. How am I going to use huge red bow "X" for the back of a dragon when it has an exoforce sticker on it?

I guess it's really a question of what you use your LEGO for, if it's for building offical models then maybe printed parts are better, but if you're into building MOCs, then stickers are great. Presonally I am grateful LEGO gives us the choice.
Exactly! I really love having stickers in sets so then I DON'T have to use the printed piece in that way, but decide if I want it or not. For torsos, shields, basically anything not bricks... No. I don't want those stickers. I want stickers on bricks. I love having the choice if I want the crumbly rock picture on my wall piece or not, thank you very much.

But stickers just look bad. Period. What, so if you don't like a blank piece, you want to be able to make it look worse?

No stickers, ever. I avoided buying one of the new Indy sets (Emperor's Tomb or whatever) just because of a particularly egregious use of stickers.

They need to go the way of the cardboard roof. :x
I collect LEGO themes that start with "C." And Pirates. I call them "Corsairs."

I'm in between because with stickers you don't have to put it on. But if you do put it on you might mess it up

yippee this is my 100 post

Not to dig up an old thread, but... the stickered guitar piece in the Winter Post Office really has me irritated with stickers again. I was really looking forward to the guitar, but now all I'm going to have is a crooked, off-center, peeling and dirty circle on a stick.

Some stickered things I can deal with (racing stripes on cars, etc.), but when the details on the sticker are essential to the item being portrayed (the guitar, the emperor hologram from the star destroyer, paintings) I really cannot stand them.
