Lego pet store...

Post by boses »

It would be cool if Lego made a pet store set to go with the new Town sets. The set could include many different animals, such as cats, dogs, and parrots. There could even be "exotic" animals like spiders, scorpions and monkeys... The set would be great for animal lovers, and any one who would like to make a Zoo scene...what do you think???

That's a good idea. Though it wouldn't be as good as a zoo theme, because the CC type sets don't have new pieces/molds. And I'd venture a guess that new molds (lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, et al) are why we all want a zoo theme.

I agree, a zoo set with lots of new animals would be cool...How about a pet hospital/veternarian set?

I agree being a pet owner myself. LEGO, take note.

Hey,

A zoo theme would be cool, but my preference would still be a farm theme. Of course BrickForge has filled the gap, but I do wish there had been official cow, pig and sheep pieces. I'd see this as a sub-theme of town with a barn set, a couple of different tractors with farm machinery, and a couple of other small buildings to make up the farm (chicken coop, corral, grain bin). I had this Fisher Price set as a kid and loved it:

I also had a few metal toy tractors, something like this:

And Playmobile has farm sets. So there is definitely a market out there for farm toys. Train guys would love the sets, of course, and the animal pieces would be useful across themes (okay, maybe not space, except for a Pigs in Space set).

Well, Playmobil also has a large number of zoo theme sets which combine to create a large zoo (and aquarium I think) and the more exotic animals would also crossover to other themes. :)

I had that too! It is also the model on which I base all my dreams of a farm theme.

I agree, a farm set would also be cool, it would fill a void that Lego Town has yet to fill...A cattle ranch would have many cool animals, it could include sheep, cows and such...A couple of the rare spotted horses (like the Wild West series) and a pony or two would work great too...

I am a strong advocate of any sets that bring back more molded animals such as zoos and farms, as well as town sets that bring diversity such as pet stores. I'm with you 100% here. Maybe the next city block set will have a pet store....

It would be really cool if Lego did a block with two shops and a narrow alleyway in between. One side could be an ice cream shop, and the other could be a pet store, with residential spaces above each one and a fire escape at the end of the alley.

I would love a pet store/farm/zoo set. I could really use them, Especially a dachshund.
