I agree that new colored horses would be excellent. Grey and tan would be good choices. I would not like any existing colored horse (white, black, or brown) to not be made so that we could get other colors. Printed bridles do not bother me. These can always be removed with brasso if someone does not like them.

I decided this morning we need a new mold for donkeys or mules.

I can't see why LEGO hasn't done this yet? Surely it would be simple to just change the color of the plastic?

There's probably one old guy in charge of the horse molds. He's a traditionalist and every time someone tries to take the horse mold and make other colors, he freaks out. "White and Black! White and Black!", he yells, "I already gave a little and let you do Brown! No more! White and Black, White and Black!" ;)

Nothing is simple when people and plastic collide.

Josh

Edit: In case anyone missed it, this was a joke. ;)

If that's the case, they should hire a less colorblind person and put that guy in charge of Archives.

Of course, true achromatopsia is ridiculously rare. With red/green (two types) and blue/yellow (very rare) colour deficiencies being more common.

That is, of course, unless he(?) happens to be Pingelapese.

CO poisoning can cause achromatopsia, but usually leads to death instead. In addition, people with true achromatopsia generally have a visual acuity of 20/100 to 20/200 (w/normal being accepted at 20/20). This means most are legally blind.

Why you ask, because they are either missing or have non-functioning cone cells in their retinas, which provide both visual acuity and colour vision.

So, if this is the case, and our "lord of the horse" is indeed inflicted with this genetic disorder, then you are suggesting he be fired or transfered because of this handicap - a sad day indeed.

On the other hand, I want some different colour horses, so: hire the man out to the military - achromatopsics are great at picking out camouflaged vehicles as they aren't tricked by camo - the outline of a tank just sticks out like a sore thumb.

Hm, perhaps your screen name should have been Gil Grissom.

The topic is horses and possible color schemes.

Thank you,

I support.

I'll rank my priority:

1. Tan
2. Light Bley
3. Dark Orange
4. Dark Brown
5. Dark Bley
6. Dark Tan

I like dark tan as a color, but I don't think it's a common color in horses so I must rank that least.

Horses in realistic "Horse-Like" colors PLEASE.

I would think that with all the colors out there the earth tones and minifigure hair colors would translate straight over very nicely. Castle of course would accept these most graciously, but it would also be a nice way to do a new Town Western or Stables line.

I think painted manes would look fantastic in a couple of the brick-colors also.

Agreed on all choices. Come on, surely if LEGO can make baby blue armor and pink wizard hats we deserve some of these horse colors?

I want chrome gold horses. If they won't do that I guess dark brown will do.

I had another thought: If they make gray horses of any kind, they can be used as statuary!!!!

God bless.
