Where can I get some hair?

Post by Sir Kohran »

No, I am not trying to get a wig

Looking through my minifig collection today, I found I had dozens of heads but only four hair pieces (all of them from licensed themes, too). Now I know this is a Castle theme we follow on here, so almost everyone is wearing a big metal helmet, but for those of us who want to build civilians (or just casual, unmilitary scenes in general) it isn't very easy.

A new headgear set like this one from 2002 would solve the problem perfectly:

Could/should we have a new headgear set?

I'd rather have one with just hair types or a medieval styled one for castle. I buy a few hairs each BL order I make and now I finally have a few extras for de-helmeted figs.

Hair Club for Men

:P

More seriously, it would be great to get a hair accessory pack with some of the newer hairstyles:

Plus from the pictures we've seen it seems there are a few other new hair molds coming up (new queen, Princess Leia, blond hair from IJ set). Throw in the new fez piece while we're at it. Oh, and I want a pony.

Is it just me or does the new Willie Scott hair with the red crown look like blood splatter in this picture as if she was just shot in the head by the gangsters?

Since I have not seen it in person not sur eif I like the new female hair yet. Loved the ones in the Market though.

I'd really love to have a hair pack that not only has a variety of hair, but in a variety of colors. Agent Trace hair in blonde, Willie Scott hair in brown, etc.

Huh, so a quick check yields a grand total of 848 minifigs in castle/ninja/viking-themed sets, only 18 of which have hair:

- 2 in 383/6083 Knight's Tournament
- 1 in 6041 Armor Shop
- 1 in 1584/6060 Knight's Challenge
- 2 in 3739 Blacksmith Shop
- 2 in 678 Knight's Kingdom Chess
- 2 in 577 Viking Chess set
- 2 in 852001 Fantasy Era Chess set
- 1 in 7093 Skeleton Tower
- 1 in 852293 Giant Castle Chess set
- 4 in 10193 Medieval Market Village

So, that's about 2% of castle figures that have hair. And I think only 6 of those are male hair pieces-- the rest are all female. Did I miss any?

It would be cool if all castle minifigs included hair and a helmet...

Anyway, I agree. I bought several of the headgear pack from a while back and liked it. (or 2/3 of it) A new one would be nice. What I really want is a white or grey male hair piece.

I agree that a hair pack would be a sweet idea. But in my mind it would be even cool if each hair piece was added to the online PaB selection (One can always dream :P ).

Seeing some of the new hair pieces in more colors, as Saaz mentioned, would be great as well.

i was about to say the same thing but amanda said first. you can get about 5 wigs now from S@H's PAB. they seem cheaper than BL. while you're at it, might make sense to pick up some euroarmor and other parts (like cheeze slopes) too. :D
