Wasn't that a cyclops? I wouldn't really consider a cyclops a troll, but like you said, all about opinion.
Yes sorry it should have said s9 Cyclops. I was making the assumption that a troll would end up looking relatively similar in minifig form.

I was going to say that exact same thing. Dress and bonnet is what I think of when I hear "pioneer girl". But Andhe is from the UK, so maybe he's not familiar with "Little House on the Prairie" ;)
And as you're not from the UK, I wouldn't expect you to know the difference between a Beefeater and a Grenadier Guard

Hey wouldn't it be cool if they made a series or 2 devoted to medieval figures?I would hope they'd have at least 2 peasant figs, to build up cities. This is what I'd ideally have in the first series. King, queen, damsel in distress, green knight, black falcon(would have the crow piece from Tonto and the scare crow to put on his helmet), jousting knight(lance, shield), archer, man at arms(spear, shield), traveling merchant, villager, baron, court lady, farmer, field worker, and whatever else you guys think of! If lego did this I would go  with delight.

That would be very cool if they made a series like that.

What if LEGO did some themed Minifigure series? There could be medieval/castle, city, some sort of space theme, etc. I think that would be really cool, there would be something for everyone :)

With Santa and his Elf, I bet we get a Mrs. Claus in the future.

But, I would love to see this figure made, as a Santa variation:

Why stop there? You could have an entire series of Christmas characters from around the world! Krampus, Zwarte Piet, Befana, Knecht Rupprecht, Gryla and the Yule Lads...

Here is a brief off topic post, wondering something.

These huge lists are making this thread cumbersome and...well annoying for reading the thread. Does anyone have a suggestion we can do to maybe make this easier to deal with? My mind is thinking spreadsheet. But if someone else has an idea, I'd be happy for the suggestion. And willing to look into how to accomplish it. Feel free to pm me ideas or take the thread off topic into this area for a little while. Then we'll have to go back on topic.

That is fantastic! Where was the image from? The crook and mitre are probably a bit too close to religion to end up in anything official, hence I'm surprised (but happily) to see them here.

Back on topic, I wouldn't be fan of an external spreadsheet, I'm happier to just read through a list, but perhaps it needs to be broken up into subcategories to make it more readable eg fairytale, world history, modern world, city. But then again, that's probably a minefield in itself.

My suggestion would be to have Karalora just PM the updated list to Athos so that he can update it in the first post and just add a quick "main list updated" reply when he's done, maybe including a short list of what has been added. That way we don't have dozens of nearly identical lists in the replies portion of the thread.

This is how Gurusql and I handle scoring updates in the Garheim thread and it keeps things nice and tidy.

We shouldn't have dozens of near-identical lists since I went back and edited my posts. We should just have the updated list on the front page and the same on the most recent page.

As for subdividing the list, I've been experimenting with keeping one list of entries that have been fulfilled, and another of those that haven't. Breaking it down further by genre or category is certainly something I'm open to since I keep track of the released figures that way. The categories I use are:

* Artists and Entertainers (Clown, Rapper, Hula Dancer, etc.)
* Athletes (Baseball Player, Skiier, Karate Champ, etc.)
* Fantastic Characters (Robot, Minotaur, Vampire, etc.)
* Historical folks (Caveman, Gladiator, Cowboy, etc.)
* Professionals (Deep Sea Diver, Surgeon, Lumberjack, etc.)
* Miscellaneous (Sleepyhead, Graduate, Grandma, etc.)

I know this wouldn't work for everyone here--in particular, I can see people wanting to distinguish between fantasy/Castle and science-fiction/Space in the fictional characters group. (I lump them together because I've always found the divide between fantasy and sci-fi to be pretty fuzzy, especially with Hammer horror characters like the Crazy Scientist.) If we do sort by categories, we'll need to make sure everyone understands the boundaries of a given category and includes that with their suggestions.

That's generally what we do. Once Karalora updates the list, I edit the first post. It doesn't help with the thread being a mess, but the first post has the most recent list.
