Ok, like I said earlier, there is a way to see when your set was made, and my Knight's Showdown read "Marso" which I think is Spanish for March. So that means mine was one that was from before the identification. Now, I'm not sure if this process is 100% correct, but I'm pretty sure it is.

I'll post how to do it sometime.

Maybe you should hold off on that because:
Your so-called 'method' requires a person to open the package prior to making their purchase. If pink knights are then suspected, said open package will be left on the store shelf to possibly be shoplifted from. Nobody here would encourage that now, would we?
Also condsider that if a store employee catches you opening a package there is a great chance you will be charged with shoplifting yourself. Are white knights worth that?

Personally, I'm just going to wait a month or two to buy the rest of the Kingdoms sets to avoid the issue (I need to wait for my monthly Lego "allowance" to reset anyway).

I did send an email to Lego customer service as well explaining the issue with my pink guy from Knight's Showdown and received an email in response saying they were sending me a replacement part. For what it's worth, if you're really unhappy with your pink guys, send them an email, seems like they're willing to replace the parts.

Well, that is encouraging news. Perhaps I will order the rest of the kingdoms sets sooner rather than later.

Thank you Nanuck95 for that information.

Dude, you're making no sense whatsoever. It is being assumed that you buy all your sets, merch., food, etc. What gave you any indication that I was shop lifting!?

If you didn't know, I was referencing how the pink issue was identified in March and how my box was made in March by using this technique where you open the opposite side of the box. All I was saying was, that my pink knight was the one prior to the identification in March. So that means my pink knight was one that was not identified by TLG, but still made in March. I found out this technique while going through my Christmas presents' boxes. I was just throwing in a little input about the whole thing...

Sorry for any confusion...
I can scan my receipts if you want me to...

Maybe I will send them an email. Thanks for letting us know Nanuck.

He was explaining that if you walk into a store and try to use this method to decide which set to buy, that you were indeed conducting in potentially criminal acts. People got upset when the collectible figs were opened in the stores, can you imagine how angry the stores would be if you dared to pull off looking inside the box? I guess a word to the wise is what needs to happen here. Yes it might work for you..IF you buy the box, but then what is the point of the method? You already bought the box and you can't exactly go checking other boxes without opening them. Sometimes we post things and do not realize that the ramifications for that might not be exactly what we intended. I don't think you meant that you would use this to actively select sets in a store, but other now can.

Working on it. The last emailed response I had said the following: "We were sorry to learn that an element contained in your new set was imperfect. Your complete satisfaction with our products is our primary concern and we are happy to provide you with new parts to complete your set. Please allow approximately 7-10 business days to receive your parts as they will be coming from Denmark."

We'll see what happens.

A bit late, but I bought a Knights Showdown, and it was pink.

I swear something or someone is out to get me......

That's great BiggerJim if those parts arrive then I'll be confident enough to order from S@H and get this theme. I'm quite excited about this theme as I love the new more classic architecture, but the pink knights don't really thrill me.

I'm actually quite pleased that TLG is replacing these parts (hopefully), I was a little nervous that they wouldn't since those parts aren't really damaged, they just aren't the right color. I suppose this might be another extension of their talk about increasing their quality control.

Anyway, thanks for the post on this everyone.

At least, those that are in the big castle set, since that is the only box I've opened so far.
Unfortunately the horse barding in the Prison Tower Rescue I purchased has pink in stead of white parts :(

Good to see that LEGO will replace the pink parts for us. I'll still wait a couple of months to buy more castle sets though and hopefully avoid the pink issues.

FYI - I received the replacement torso in the mail today. I put in the request for just the torso, but they sent me one of the red and white shields too, both pieces look great. Once again Lego customer service delivers above and beyond, they really do have a fantastic customer service department.

I received my Summer 2010 LEGO Catalog today and happened to notice that on Page 18, the 852911 Jester Key Chain TLG photographed appears to suffer from pink printing issues on his torso, especially when compared to the 7953 Court Jester minifig on that same page.

http://lego.richfx.com.edgesuite.net/ca ... p.lego.com

I then checked the S@H website and found the same to be true.

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.as ... n=640&d=70

Significance? Not all jesters are immune from this printing issue and even made it into official photographs still in use.

Are people still receiving "Pinkies" from S@H or has the issue been resolved from there?
I know that they are replacing those torso's and hopefully everything else, but I'm wondering how often this is occurring now.

I have a similar report. I had 4 torsos and 2 bardings replaced.
