LEGO Element Color Feedback

Post by architect »

Hi everyone,

LEGO is requesting our feedback on which existing elements we would like to see in other colors. Please read the announcement and post your top five choices below. I will pass your feedback on to LEGO. Thanks!
Hi LEGO Fans,

The LEGO Community Development would like to know which of the already existing elements would be needed most urgently in missing colors. Some optimism presumed the number one of the resulting list could end in a "color change" and might be produced in the future.

To participate - the way is as follows:

Suggestions need to be send by email until the 30.06.2010. These suggestions will be sorted and afterwards published for a voting. The final chart will be send to the LCD Team.

For easier handling the suggestions should be aligned to the description of the BrickLink catalogue:

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogTree.asp?itemType=P

Suggestions only will be accepted in a color which is still in production. So e.g."Fabuland brown" is invalid because production of this color was stoped in 1997. An overview about the actual colors could be downloaded here:

http://x-brick.de/ambassador/colorpalet ... alette.pdf

An example:

Part No: 50746

Name: Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3

New color: brick-yellow (tan)

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

I have one request..just one. From the desert castle builder, who has been blown away by the new parts she received this year..there is but one, one little piece that is missing that I want more than anything else in the whole world of LEGO.

Please, if you would be ever so kind, please make this:

Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3

Just to expand a bit on Ye Olde Republic:

Image
Part #:88292
Name: Brick, Arch 1 x 3 x 2
New colour: pretty much any color that would be used in architecture, but mostly Medium Stone Grey, Dark Stone Grey, and Tan

And then a general call for all hairpieces and beards to be available in all colors resembling natural hair colors, especially some of the new hairpieces that have been created for the Collectible Minifigs line or other new lines like the Prince of Persia sets.

My list, which really should come as no surprise:

Image

Part No: 2417

Name: Plant Leaves 6 x 5

New Color: Orange, Pink, Red, Dark Red, Light Yellow

Image

Part No. 2423

Name: Plant Leaves 4 x 3

New Color: Orange, Pink, Red, Dark Red, Light Yellow

Image

Part No: 4493

Name: Horse

New Color: Tan, Dark Tan, Dark Bluish Gray, Light Blueish Gray

Image

Part No: 50746

Name: Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3

New Color: Tan

And finally, I'd like to name all the newer hair pieces over the past few years and ones in up coming themes to be released in the natural hair color palette.

I'd also suggest that TLC switch their color naming to that of Brick Links. The attempt at creativity with the color names is a failure.

According to Peeron, the 1x1 round plate has been in green, but only in one set. I agree, if that were available in quantities it would be great for texturing landscaping. Also dark green.

I definitely agree with everything Bruce has requested. Certainly the new arch piece would be fantastic in medium or dark stone grey. I'm also a sucker for hairpieces and minifig accessories as they add variety to the drones that inhabit my LEGO community. While I don't expect a lot of the minifig accessories to be used outside of the new line, I would certainly like to see some of the hairpieces offered in other colours (princess leia buns in black or tan perhaps).

I'd love to see some of the older armour pieces in dark metallic grey (pearl dark grey), but as such a request really only serves us Castle AFOLs I don't see this happening. It's a shame too, as I really like the new colour and would like to have a few visors in that colour.

I absolutely agree about the need for tan cheese slopes. I couldn't believe it when I found out that they didn't exist!
