Great request. I too would love more colors for the cowl and hood. In my case not just for variety in peasants, but also to match some of my wizards. Would be great to be able to pose them with hairpiece or a headwear.

Edit: As you can see, my sigfig desparately needs a white headpiece option.

I'd love to see the hood in a variety of colors as well. I remember years ago when LEGO revealed a prototype of the Harry Potter Graveyard Duel set they had a white hood (and wings), and I was really looking forward to that, but unfortunately when the set came out the hood was black (and I already had a bunch of them from the SW line). The lords of lego grant our request (Dr Doom fig officially revealed at Comic Con), however I'm guessing this will be quite a limited figure, as I can't see him appearing in multiple sets Great head for 'Man in the Iron Mask MOCs as well.

Okay, now this is some good news. Might have to work out how I can get a fist full. Might need to sell a kidney if it's going to be limited in number.

The eyes are standard, but they have that illusion of Clone Wars looks about them. I am so very grateful they are giving us a green hood! I hope it is in a $20-25 set!!

The LOTR sets with Ithilien Rangers are going to be great sources for hoods and cloaks, I'm thinking. ^_^

I really want lego to make the hood in white, green, and especially olive green. Im also very happy that lego has released a TH polybag "Mirkwood elf guard" with the dark green hood!

Yeah if they make Osgilioth or Ambush at Ithillien into sets that would be awesome!

So, preliminary images of the new marvel sets have revealed that one of the sets (unfortunately the largest and most expensive set) has a taskmaster minifigure, who is wearing a white hood.

That's not a preliminary image, it's a scan of an advert so is the finalised artwork (ignoring the fact they've labelled two sets wrong, and the Captain America figure at the bottom as Spider-man!).

Pleased to see a white hood being made available. Still need to get my hands on a new dark red version, and an old grey one.

For me its a no-brainer...I would love to see more colors for hoods. Hoods have so many uses for me; thief/assassin types, clerics/priests/druid types, monks, wizard, multi-class wizards - these are the main ones as there can always be any type of figure use them for a good reason. Same goes for capes, the more colors the better.

I would love for this idea to happen as well. The hoods go along great with capes and like Tower said, they have so many uses.
By the way, its neat to see the white hood coming out. I have a white cape in my collection, I bet the hood would go along excellently with it.

It seems like TLG might be listening, since in the last few years we've received dark blue, dark red, dark green, and now white! I am excited to pick up a few white ones, myself.

I wonder if they will ever release the cowl in more colors. It seems less suited to color variety, IMO.

Don't forget regular red from the collectable Little Red. I hadn't realized they made a dark red one. I thought it was brown when I saw it in the picture. The white one sounds very useful.
