Forest Ambush sounds good. :D I do hope they have a good set of bad guys. Like elves or dwarfs or some thing like wolfpack of forestmen. :)

70400 Forest Ambush
70401 Gold Getaway
70402 The Gatehouse Raid
70403 Dragon Mountain
70404 Kings Castle

Interesting..............
Definitely sounds like those could be real set names. The one that I have a hard time picturing in my mind is 70403 Dragon Mountain. I wonder what that set would consist of exactly? If some others rumor sources are correct in that there will not be any fantasy elements in these sets then that means there won't be an actual dragon. It also sounds like it's possible some of these sets could have forestmen present in them.

Sorry to bring down the rain on the fire, but I do not think that these rumors are true. Brickipedia, the Lego wiki, has had a 100% reliability rate on upcoming themes, and it does not have any castle theme listed for the year 2013. I therefor would not hope this to be true for next year, but anything is possible for 2014.... Logically speaking, However, we knew that already. With castle being one of the four system themes it is only reasonable to assume that it would return after lotr/the hobbit dies out, just like it did after Harry Potter in 2000, so this thread is somewhat superfluous if you ask me.

So far any Lego reps(sources) haven't denied the rumor and have actually supported it with additional bits of info. I think there could still be some truth to this. We should know in a few more months hopefully.

if these rumours turn out to be true
The set name 70403 Dragon Mountain could mean that we finally see a castle for the Dragon faction from the Kingdoms line. I always picture the Dragons in a mountain top hideout instead of a formal castle.

It could also be a remake of the "Fire Breathing Fortress" or something like that :eyebrows:

Obviously, speculation is just for fun, but I hope it turns out to be true. I'd love to see more done with the Black Falcon knight that was introduced in the joust set. A remake of Forestmen (new dark green hats and hoods!) would be awesome as well :)

If these turn out to be Kingdoms sets then that's probably what it will turn out to be since the Dragon knights never really had a large castle of there own yet. I think Kingdoms might actually continue since there was 2 Kingdoms sets released early in 2012.

Forest Ambush sounds to me like Forestmen. :woo:
Gatehouse raid some sort of tarvern like the Guarded Inn.
Gold Gateway, like a drawbrigde as the 2007-2009 Castle line.
Dragon Mountain, must be cool!
King's Castle, I want to see how much different is than the one in Kingdoms series and the 6080.

Overall, I going to start saving money for all these. :D

They are apparently listed on Lego's 2013 database, but no details. Other sites have claimed communication from Lego stating that they are to be released in August 2013. Lego has been increasingly successful at keeping the hush on new in-house projects. Sounds plausible, and from the rumored names, it looks like a revisiting of old theme factions in each set.

Since I got back into this TLC has been amazing at keeping these new sets under wraps. I have no doubt they could conceal these if they wanted. That said the leaks seem to be sounding strong. I can hope..... Love the LotR but the Castle line is still classic.

Will look forward to seeing these.

There are rumblings on the Eurobricks forum that the rumored 2013 castle sets will be new Kingdoms sets. Kingdoms continues!!! :)

That would be most excellent. I'm really hoping for a revival of old factions. I mean really, what are Kingdoms Lion and Dragons but a redo of Crusaders (lions) and Black Knights (dragons) with a different color scheme? The next wave may be Black Falcons and Forestmen!

If this is true I weep for my wallet, but rejoice for my collection! Lego is a master at getting me to continually shell out for new sets.

The sets presented sound awesome! Can't wait to see pics.

This is what I want and have been hoping for since Legends series first came out. With so many new colors, pieces, and techniques that have come out over the last decade, I am sure they could have a great run with reviving the classic factions. How could it possibly be more redundant than a Police or Firefighter theme that they seem to redo every year. I'd like to see that be the trend and finally give the Fright Knight faction a reason to be better received. Think of the possibilities :)
