Old Piece in New Color...

Post by Athos »

Here is a question, I don't recall ever having been asked:

What already existing piece(s) would you most like to have made in a new color?

Here are the first 10 I could think of:

1. Bear - Brown (would settle for black)

2. Dog - Black, Light Grey, White

3. Beard - Black, Tan, Red, Brown

4. Almost any Hairpieces/Hats - Any new colors

5. Plant Leaves - Dark green, Tan, Brown

6. Roof Bricks - Any new colors (or more readily available already existing colors)

7. Door/Shutter Hinge (http://www.bricklink.com/P/1/3581.gif) - Any new color

8. Doors that fit the above mentioned hinge - Any colors (preferably that match the aforementioned roof bricks)

9. Shutters that fit the aforementioned hinge - Any colors (preferably that match the aforementioned roof bricks and doors)

10. 1 x 2 x 6 Arches - New Dark Grey

Well, I'm doing hoods and hair pieces in all kinds of colors, and I'd have to say that lego needs to expand into these colors. They look awesome! The newer styled hairpieces are just too limited by one or two colors.

I'd love to see the new Viking helmets and axe heads in solid black, or even dark grey.

I'd also love the lightsabre blade in black and brown. Or, for that matter, in almost any new colour besides chrome and light grey.

10x a lot!

My mistake! It's funny that given my nick I'm not well aware of the Viking sets, but here they are in kind of a shortage except for the fortress. Just looking at the pics on the net is a little bit confusing.

More variety of teal coloured pieces. I have only a few and have never seen any teal bricks, only 3x2, 1x1, 2x2, and 1x3 plates.

I agree with the teal comment. Let's see teal rounded brick/arches, tiles, an assortment of teal plates and bricks, and teal minifig arms and legs. As far as I know, it's not a color they've discontinued, but it's been limited to pieces such as slopes and mechanical arms in themes such as Rock Raiders, or Life on Mars.

I also agree with hoods. Create new hood colors with matching capes.

Cowls, also need to see those in bright/warm colors such as orange, dark tan, yellow, white, sand red, sand green.

Minifig peasant torso prints on different plastic colors to accompany new cowls.

1x3 Arches in Orange, Medium Blue, Tan??, Sand Blue, Purple, Reddish Brown, Sand Red, Dark Green. Other arches would be nice to see, but 1x3's in general seem more urgent.

Slopes & Spires (aka Roof Bricks): Need a full array of roof slope types as is seen with black, but done for a few other colors that appeal as rooftop parts. As for a wholly new roof color to develop: Dark Tan. As for existing colors, finish flushing out: Sand Red, Medium/Dino Green, Orange, and Dark Purple.

Helmets & Visors: Sand Purple, Sand Red, Dark Tan, Sand Blue, Dino Green.

Forestmen hats in red, dark red, dark tan, earth orange, Dark Green, Dark Blue, Blue, Lime, Sand Green.

Macaroni, small and large: Violet, Orange, Red, Dark Red, Medium Blue.

Plumes & Dragon Plumes need to be released in orange, green, purple, sand purple, pearl gray/silver, pearl gold, dark pink, and tan.

Lego, why did you discontinue dark pink? So many pieces could benefit from its use.

No they don't. At least I haven't seen it on the BrickLink catalog....

I'm taking about these hoods.

I wish to have white ones as they would go great with a new faction Im building. Their look is somewhat based on the "Prior" a kind of mage-priest for the new StarGate villains, the Ori.

However... white Dragon-Crown-Helmets (Dragon Masters), would perhaps be even better. It would have a more warrior appearance, if it was a full helmet.
