In the middle ages castles were almost always in the wilderness, so plants would seem like a nessity.

God speed

LEGO world had some ecological problems, and all the plants died...

Thats why the minifigs stopped breathing and turned from a healthy yellow into those sickly flesh colors.

Hehe. Yeah, it happened because the minifigs unbalanced the world by doing nothing but fighting.

I've noticed some ivy decorations oN the walls of upcoming castle, very nice touch indeed, but I must dig this one up, cause I'm still screaming for change:

DEAR LEGO PLEASE BRING BACK SOME FLORA IN OUR KINGDOMS!!

By the way, long time no see, nice to be back on these boards ;-)

The castle sets aren't completely without plants.. Trolls mountain fortress has some dangling from the battlements and the drawbridge had a few plants. But most of the plants seem to come in other themes or in the advent calendars.

Pirates have a few different sized trees. If you need some fruit trees there's always the red sports car which has a tree added to the set for no real reason. The winter toy shop had 4 pine trees and a brick built one. But most themes seem to have lost them.
It looks like plants and flowers have been replaced by more exciting objects.

Plants and food are there a lot more than they were back in 2004, but I agree that it would be a nice touch to have more available.

They are popping up all over the City theme, and are here and there in a few Castle sets. Without a Forest(man) theme there has been little development of the flora and fauna of Castle. Since the retail assortment is always focused upon combat & conflict there seems little interest from an official line of sets with plants. I'd like to see that change, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
