New KK2 sword?

Post by Shurtugal »

How would it be if the KK2 swords were all dark grey/blakc/chrome/etc, and if they were made in stiffer material. Would everyone like them better?

I think they have their uses - a captain holding a single KK2 sword in grey in front of a group of soldiers holding normal swords can look pretty good. So I wouldn't mind colours and better colours.

I will note vote with those pole options, because I do Hate them. They are way to big. But, it would make them look somewhat better in Dark Bley/light Bley(not a chrome sword fan).

My 2 cents,

The swords are one of the few things about KK2 that I just cannot find a good use for - the other parts of KK2 are fine the way they are or after some creative building/customization, but the swords are just too big for me... I like the idea - the shape is good and I would like these swords quite a bit if they were about half the size.

The only two uses I can think of for them now is oversized props for a drama or travelling gypsy show (we sometimes used oversized props when I did drama), or for a decoration to some kind of citadel or something...

I like this poll though, kind of cool~

KK2 swords need to go. Even current pop culture movies like Narnia and LOTR have more realistic swords than KK2. Plus with the zwords appearing in nearly every kk2 and viking set, there are alot out there just waiting to be customized.

The need to go. Absolutely. But, if Lego won't get rid of them, then they would be better with those upgrades.

The swords need to go. They are the worst thing about the KK2 line. I can use everything else but the swords, and there are way to many of them. Why couldn't the Vikings have had somewhat realistic swords?

I don't mind the blade itself, but the hilt and pommel have to go. Otherwise it would be a great looking broadsword to go along with the classic longsword.

I would have to say that I just find the whole sword to be unappealing in a soldier's hand. I'm not a fan of its shape, though with a slight change, it might look alright in the hands of a magic wielder?

I suppose it just looks too much like a specialty item, and should be toned down and look more generic if it was mass produced for use by an entire army.

Huh, wow, this poll is pretty close, I thought it would be one of those 12 votes to 1 polls. Ah well, live and learn :P .

I think with some work they could be alright. Maybe with some notches to put accessories in the pommel and hilt. Like the Scimitars have. But I'd like to see the old swords come back. The more variety the better.
