Thank you, Lego

Post by Barbapple »

I have noticed ALOT of people complaining about the new and...interesting...castle sets lego is relicing. Sure, they don't tickle my fantsy, however, what about you favorites? Lego has dezined and relised you favorites. They reliced your 375's, your 1584's, your 6066's, your 6080, and your 6086's. They have done really good things, and are just going a diferent way. I just wanted to say thanks so here it goes.

Thankyou Lego. You will always have me, no matter what you do.

Thankyou.

Good point, we might just need time for TLG to realize their mistake. They might come back and make good sets in just a few years. That's wishful thinking. If only we could get KKK to listen instead of some secretary emailing him and saying "a bunch of older FOLs are really mad for some undetectable reason. They're saying we're being like megabloks!"

So thankyou LEGO, for what you used to be. And hopefully will be again.

I also would like to thank LEGO for all the fantastic things they made over the years.

I can´t imagine what my childhood would have been without that little plastic brick.

Just hope you remeber what you once made and that you have the courage to do it again!

GO LEGO!
I'm back, and so is Castle!

If only we could get KKK to listen
Actually, Kjeld is listening. If for nothing else than this: what do you think Jake McKee's job is? Community Developer for NA. At BrickFest PDX, i met Jake, Kate (Jake's european counter-part) and their boss Tormud - three high ranking TLG employees who's entire job is to work with AFOLs.

The key thing, is that TLG has their agenda, and we have ours. We have to work so that we can both realize what we want, but never forget TLG's mission is to sell toys to kids.

And Kjeld's involvement with the community is growing leaps and bounds. He went to 1000steineland this last year, and hopes to come to a BrickFest sometime. In fact, he sat down with Holger Matthis (a leader at 1000steine.de), Christina Hitchcock and Steve Barile (organizers of brickfest) this past year.

The best I can say is be patient. And don't always expect results in terms of new sets to buy.

Yah, I guess I'm just an impatient little kid... That sounds so familiar to me, even though it's the first time I've admitted it. :x

That is reassuring. I truly hope this wasn't just a publicity stunt.

Yes, I'm a pessimist.

I don't think the problem is so much with KKK and such, as with the information being fed to the set designers about what kids today want in their sets. Accurate, or wrong, the information our sets are based on is terrible for AFOLs.
